  • St. Paul Pioneer Press' Chris Tomasson reports the Vikings "definitely" want to keep RB Mike Boone.Boone is a restricted free agent, so the Vikings are deciding which, if any, tender they will apply on their backup running back. Either way, it's likely that Boone returns as the No. 3 running back behind Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison. Ameer Abdullah is a free agent.

Would be a good move. He's been pretty good in a limited role on offense, as well as on ST.

Love Mike Boone. I think the team is weary of his mistakes. He misses holes and blocks, but if he cleans that up he could be a starter in the league.
