Grape-Nuts shortage coming to an end: Company giving away free cereal for a year, coupons through contestThe Great Grape-Nuts Shortage of 2021 is coming to an end earlier than expected.
For months, Grape-Nuts fans have been struggling to get their favorite cereal as a shortage hit the brand amid the coronavirus pandemic and production issues. Parent company Post Consumer Brands told USA TODAY in late January that the cereal would be back fully on shelves in the spring.
But Post announced Thursday the cereal will be shipping at full capacity by mid-March.
“We recognize that the temporary Grape-Nuts shortage has been frustrating to fans given that Grape-Nuts is a one-of-a-kind cereal and there is no other cereal like it on the market,” said Kristin DeRock, Grape-Nuts brand manager at Post Consumer Brands, in a news release.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
nothing like a bowl of gravel to start your morning off right!
actually the stuff reminds me of fish food pellets.
Frosted shredded wheat. One bowl and I'm good to noon, just like the box says.
lol, Grape Nuts: the worse cereal ever invented. How people eat it is beyond me.
Now frosted mini-wheats? Love it.

Call me grape nutty, but I like Grape-Nuts B) Truthfully, the flakes version is my fave. I did bust out laughing reading the descriptions you gave it Jimmy. It does resemble fish food pellets!! =)

and actually, i liked them too, even if i had to wait for them to soak up milk for 20 minutes so I wouldnt break a tooth on them.
It may be good, but my jaw wears out long before I could get to the point of nutrition. I think it is probably negative on the calorie intake.
This is my morning fare...Cook this up with some blueberries in it? Dayum!

I should give oatmeal a try again, after a bad experience with oatmeal when doing a short stay with the county back in my youth I swore the shit off and never have went back. Grew up eating the stuff several times a week as a kid...cinnamon sugar and raisins.
Giver er a shot again Jimmy...Minimally it'd be a nice change of pace. I can do the steel cut or old fashioned, the instant has a texture thats more processed imo.
I give myself the glory of bacon once a week too. Thick Sliced, Hickory Smoked, Crispy.

I prefer a small pork chop or steak over bacon, although I make my own backboard bacon that is pretty tasty.
I eat uncooked oatmeal once in a while in granola my wife makes. I like it mixed in golden Graham's or as an ice cream topping for desert.

Man I haven't choked down that stuff in years, didn't know it even still existed. When I was a kid they blasted the t.v. airwaves with those Euell Gibbons commercials. "Ever eat an oak tree? Many parts are edible!"
@"JimmyinSD" said:I'm crazy about eggs. LOVE them. I really have to restrict myself because I could eat them every single morning. Over easy with some toast? Forget about it.@"BarrNone55" said: Frosted shredded wheat. When my kids were little they called them dippin eggs.Personally I prefer the yuks broke and cooked through, but that's what make eggs about the most perfect food is there are so many ways to make them that pretty much everybody can find a way to like them. My grandpa was a poached egg guy....ewww.
