Vikings looking for another offensive advisor
Ben Goessling's sources have told him that the Vikings are looking to bring in an "older" offensive mind as an advisor ala Kubiak in 2019.
This article totally misinterprets that tweet to mean the Vikings are looking for an older offensive coordinator, when it actually means the opposite. If they are looking for an advisor with some experience, then it's more likely their OC is going to be someone without it.

Certainly not hard to connect the dots on this one...I guess they already have loyalty/affinity for some on the staff on that side of the ball.
Zimmer likes a lot of cooks in the kitchen. Is this a better approach than the traditional route? I dont know.
Is it a good thing he gets what he wants from ownership? I guess so (shrug).
Hopefully it's someone who knows how to teach the OL to pass block.
I'm pretty sure Klint Kubiak is going to be the OC.
I will add that what they're looking for in an offensive advisor is someone who can implement a lot more pre-snap and at-snap motion. If you dig into the data the Vikings really struggled with that this past year. If you think that isn't a staple of the stretch-zone offense the Rams, 49ers, and Packers were in the top 1/3 of the league with the Vikings coming in 29th.

Vikings might want to secure the advisor first, but it sure looks that way.

I think a prerequisite should be an ability to look Zimmer in the eye and say "FIRST, we build the big lead, THEN we control the clock".
