Carson Wentz wants out?

I think his contract has him as the 8th highest paid QB in the NFL. Don't see anyone wanting to make a trade with out him willing to restructure his deal.

I think he would actually be willing to restructure.

He's not pleased.  Ok.  He makes insane money and has looked like the worst qb in the NFL this year.   I doubt the team and the fans are "pleased" either.

Maybe, but he isn't willing to compete for a starting job. He thinks he's entitle to being a starter, and thats what I don't like about him. It's almost like he is saying he can't compete with Jalen Hurts?

I think I would be more interested in offering a 3rd or 4th round pick for Sam Darnold? Now, that is my Vikings view point.

The Patriots, Colts or 49ers could be good spots for Wentz? But he will still need to be willing to compete, win over a locker room, and stay healthy? 

Hurts went off today in a loss. Eagles much more competitive with him under center. Going to be very interesting to see what they do with Wentz this offseason.  His contract makes him tough to move

Why? I have seen others post about Darnold but I don't understand the fascination with him.  Why are the Jets looking to dump him if he has a future in the league?  He is Kirk Cousins light, not good enough to lift a team yet some see him as an alternative to Cousins.

Why? Darnold is a good QB stuck on a bad team. But if you're the Jets you have no choice but to take Trevor Lawrence and pocket whatever picks you can get for Darnold. Darnold would be an upgrade over Mannion as a backup and if the Vikings struggle again next year,... the Vikings will not want to keep giving Cousins a blank check for the next ten years.

Now with that said, Darnold's rookie deal is still too high for Minnesota to be a destination even if the Jets would consider 1 or 2 of the Vikings many 3rd-to-5th round picks for him.

@Jor-El that changes things a bit. I'm not 100%  sure the Jets are locked in with Justin Fields the same way it was with Trevor Lawrence. If Darnold shows a spark in the next two games that could change how these QBs come off the board.

I could definitely see someone like Bill giving a chance on Wentz if he was willing to restructure his contract. Pats have a lot of holes and with this being a deep receiving class, you gotta think they are looking hard at a WR in round 1. Teams like Indy and SF may also be interested if he restructures

Hurts named the starter again this weekend against Dallas. A lot of talking heads saying Wentz is done in Philly.

Agreed Carl. Don't know what it would take to get Darnold, but obviously if its stupid, the Vikings wouldn't pursue it. Darnold is only 23 years old and if he's allowed to relax and learn behind a starter like Cousins, I'd be for it. Darnold is talented. I know the Jets say they won't give him away but nobody is going to give much up for him because they know the Jets are drafting their starter in this upcoming draft.

What did the nines give up for jg knowing that the Pat's had Brady starting?  Or the skins for Smith knowing Mahomes was taking the reigns,  starting type QBs are gold and if  a team doesn't view Darnold as a starter then they should be using that draft capital elsewhere. I would guess no less than a 2nd round pick for Darnold and thats likely low.

Hi, my name is Kirk Cousins....you know, the guy that Washington didn't view as their starter? Or Ryan Tannehill in Tennessee. Darnold has played, what, 2 and a half seasons on the worst team in football consistently? If anyone might flourish with new scenery and some time to adjust, its Sam Darnold. Like I said, I don't want to hemorrhage draft picks for the guy, but if he can be had for a 3rd, why wouldn't you consider it. Not sure they'll part with that but I can't see them getting more than a 2nd at best. It a pure potential move to get him, hoping a new venue will help although with a track record of not great play on a very bad team. He has flashed however.

I'd pay a 3rd for Darnold.  Heck, a 3rd is practically chump change in Ricky's annual Cavalcade Carousel of Multiple Draft Picks and Trading Shenanigans.
