Wentz to the bench.

$59 million dead cap hit next year if the move on. $24 the following year.

Eagles fans are the worst.  I was in Israel, Jerusalem actually, after the NFC Championship game where the Eagles killed us.  I was in the Jerusalem market with several friends just shopping and a female Eagles fan noticed my Vikings jacket.  She was very friendly and said something like “hey we got you this year good game.”  We chatted and bantered really amicably back and forth and I congratulated her on a good win.

And as she turned to leave I said smiling and joking, “hey maybe we win next year.”  She turned around and like a switch was flipped got angry and wagged her finger at me and said “Oh No! The Vikings are our Bitch they will never beat the Eagles again ever!”  I was stunned and speechless the people with me were stunned then she left us swearing and pissed.

The Vikings have not lost to the Eagles since.

So the Wentz thing couldn’t have happened to a better bunch.

Someone on Twitter mentioned a possible Brick Osweiler type trade to move Wentz. Along the lines of Wentz and a 2nd for a 4th.

Wow, Howie. Reagor over Jefferson? Arcega Whiteside over DK Metcalf? A string of 1st round busts including Wentz,  Andre Dillard, Marcus Smith and Nelson Agholor?

I think those idiots who frequently rank you among the best GMs might want to rethink that.

Agho!or seems to be benefiting from a change of scenery...I really liked Dillard, but he can't stay healthy...maybe a straight upgrade for Hughes?

These QB contracts are straight up insanity. It cripples the franchise.

Yeah, Dillard might still show something. He was behind Jason Peters as a rookie then hurt in training camp this year. But still, man, their drafts have been awful. Not even mentioning the 2nd rounders: Eric Rowe, Jordan Matthews, Sidney Jones....

Honestly, they haven't had a good draft since 2013.

probably one of the bravest most Mature NFL front office moves I have ever seen.  Most front offices would have stayed with the pick of Rosen because of ego and blind hope.  They knew they made a franchise mistake and moved on brave.

The answer is likely trade him to Indy to reunite him with Frank Reich.  But the Eagles are going to swallow a lot of pain no matter how it plays out.
