Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was carted off from Sunday's game against the Washington Football Team with a knee injury that he later indicated he believes will rule him out for the remainder of the season. On a third-and-2 play in the third quarter, Burrow was hit low by one pass rusher and high by another after throwing an incompletion intended for wide receiver Tyler Boyd. Burrow clutched his left knee before being leaving on a cart.
Players from both teams surrounded Burrow to show support as the quarterback was being loaded onto the cart and taken away.
Cincinnati ruled Burrow out for the remainder of the game shortly after the injury.
Burrow threw for 203 yards and one touchdown on 22-of-34 passing before exiting.
Second-year quarterback Ryan Finley, who started three games last season after veteran Andy Dalton was benched, took over for Cincinnati. Finley completed three of 10 passes for 30 yards with one interception in the Bengals' 20-9 loss.
Burrow was the No. 1 pick in April's NFL draft after a record-setting, Heisman Trophy-winning senior campaign at LSU.

#Bengals QB Joe Burrow suffered a torn ACL based on the initial diagnosis, source said. There may be additional damage. Burrow signaled it with his tweet, but the MRI confirming the injury would end his stellar rookie season.

Happened to Palmer and to a promising kid qb they had back in the 60's before acl surgery. That franchise is cursed when it gets a young up and comer at qb.
Thank you to Who Dey Nation and the fans around the league who have donated to the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund in the last day. The outpouring of support for a cause so important to @JoeyB warms our hearts.https://t.co/0BOkcT1y4V

#Bengals QB Joe Burrow tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee, an MRI showed, per me and @TomPelissero. Burrow will undergo reconstructive surgery and rehab for 2021.

Multiple tears and additional damage...he'll need a Peterson like recovery to play in 2021...they are drafting high enough to have a shot at Sewell.

it amazes me that OL/DL and QBs dont all wear some sort of device to protect their knees.

Sounds like this injury of Burrows' is a bit worse than the run of the mill ACL injury. Yikes.

@"JimmyinSD" said:And I've torn both rotator cuffs in both shoulders, still work out daily at the gym pushing weights, but I'm not throwing 20 yard out patterns in the NFL either! :p@"StickyBun" said: Sounds like this injury of Burrows' is a bit worse than the run of the mill ACL injury. @"StickyBun" said:if its just the MCL, that is pretty common with the ACL, its just not always reported as it is a relatively insignificant injury in comparison to the ACL from my experience and from what I've read in the past. kind of like meniscus damage... its just part of the package.@"JimmyinSD" said:And I've torn both rotator cuffs in both shoulders, still work out daily at the gym pushing weights, but I'm not throwing 20 yard out patterns in the NFL either! :p@"StickyBun" said: Sounds like this injury of Burrows' is a bit worse than the run of the mill ACL injury.
