You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
He's an excellent LT. Rodgers has benefited from this guy being there for 7 years, as he started as a rookie after an injury to Bryan Bulaga and never looked back.
No way those numbers are real. 26 mill per season for an OL?

I'm sure those numbers are inflated a bit with escalators and incentives, but yes, those numbers are real.
He's a top 5 LT in the NFL and I'd argue is probably even higher than that. Laremy Tunsil just got paid 22 mil AAV. Bahktiari is better than him. I think Ronnie Stanley (Ravens LT) just got around 20 mil AAV too.
It seems to be the going rate for LTs now... I mean D.J. Humphries got 14 million and he's not even an average starter. It'll be interesting to see what the Vikings do with O'Neill.
The #Packers and LT David Bakhtiari agreed on a 4-year extension worth up to $105.5M in new money, source said. He is now the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL history. At its base, it’s $23M per year and could reach $23.5M per year.

He's not on that level. Not yet anyway.

Maybe not but the market is going in that direction for OL because so many teams are desperate for linemen and there are not as many ready to go out of the draft.

No doubt. When it comes time to pay Brian the market will be even higher. But Daktari (can never spell his name) has either been the best LT in the game, or in the top 2 or 3 for the last five seasons. And he plays left tackle, a position that gets twice as much money as right tackle.Daktari made his first pro bowl after his 4th season. O'Neill's 4th season is next year. We'll see. He might even be on the left then too.

He has absolutely been a very good at his position for a long time. He is clearly valuable and an important part of that OL. Hopefully they can sort it out.
