D.J. Wonnum looks like a keeper...
Kid took a lot of heat on here around draft time. He's making some plays after Yannick was traded...
I am pretty pleased. He is getting pressures and making plays. I love it.
He's proven to be a real solid find. Lots of rookies are contributing this season, which is encouraging.
encouraging signs from the rook. his sack tonight was a nice inside game but he had a few flashes in the pressure game
Every time spielman and Patterson have hit on a defensive end, they always showed up in games early in their rookie year.
Remember he made the strip sack on Rodgers to end the GB game. That had to give him a confidence boost.
From what I have seen post Yannick, he's definitely our best DL
Get Hunter back and Pierce in the middle and year 2 for Wonnum (little bigger and playing quicker with more experience) and we might have something in 2021.

Spielman has a gift for drafting pass-rushing DEs.
So who are the college DTs we are likely to grab #1 next spring?

Certainly not at the cost of missing out on a very good 3T or LT or S or QB who might be sitting there in the middle 1st.@"Jor-El" said:Spielman has a gift for drafting pass-rushing DEs. And that doesn't include the likely 3rd round comp pick for Trae Waynes.

Agree with you on this as I was looking at our picks over the weekend. This is a draft where we could take several positions in the first round, it'll all depend on who is there. I do think we jump back into the second but it'll be when a guy falls that they want so who knows where that will be. I would like to see them take all of the later picks they have and move up again into the second or third, meaning try to get two 2nds, or a 2nd and two 3rds. We have a decent amount of issues with a lot of studs on this roster...let's skip the 6th and 7th round experiments this year
I think we trade back in the first get more picks and then trade back into the second maybe even twice
thing to remember is it take 2 to trade

Tied for 3rd in pressures for rookies with about 50% less snaps.
Maybe we could chip in and send FSU an authentic Wonnum jersey.

Hey man, where ya been? Quick, someone post a mock draft. Gotta find a way to keep Barr on the ship.
