Big, tall, strong arm.  He has hit a ton of downfield throws.  If Chargers can get some OT’s worth a squirt he’s going to be really good.

Really wish we had a way of going up and getting him.

He really is. He is poised in the pocket and he can extend the play. Good for the Chargers.

The draftniks nitpicked this kid to death in the last month or so of the draft process, much like Patrick Mahomes. Hilarious that Mahomes went 10th overall.....

I've learned to wait until year 2 when evaluating young  players,  especially QBs, but it sure looked like   I was wrong on this kid based on last night's game.

The worst is social media. I can open up Facebook, or Twitter...and just see the most God-awful takes one can see. Between politics, sports and a ton of other things, I really need to get away for some time. I understand everyone has the right and ability to post their own thoughts, it's just that sometimes it's better not to.

Totally agree. I've thought very seriously about deleting my Facebook account. Its toxic out there.

What's the quote? "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Please do.  If you have any reservations about doing it, watch "The Social Dilemma", it will be the final straw for most people.
It's toxic and harmful, always has been, always will be

Or Russell Wilson in the 3rd round...That one hurts.

Hell, Cousins was a 4th rounder!

Herbert is such an interesting QB prospect for me. He has a great arm, can run, and has good size so he's hard to bring down. What he will have to manage or fix is the inconsistent throws. I watched a handful of his games last year at Oregon and sometimes he looked like the best QB prospect and then some times I would ask why the eff are you throwing that pass? (I did bet on them a handful of times too haha). He has weapons with the Chargers and teams haven't watched a lot of film on him yet, but if he can fix those wtf throws and moments then he will have a really good NFL career.

If I remember right, the biggest knock on Hebert was his injury history. Concussion, collar bone, shoulder. Remains to be seen if those things will haunt him as a pro. But he sure looks good now.

Herbert's biggest knock that I saw when watching him...  it was his inconsistent short and midrange accuracy.  He throws a very accurate deep ball, but at Oregon, you'd see him miss some easy throws or have poor placement on 1-10 yard throws.

That reared its ugly head last night.  The 4th down throw to Mike Williams in OT should have been an easy first down if he throws it out in front of him.  Instead, Williams had to reach back to haul it in, lost any forward momentum he had, and the Saints CB was able to drag him down short of the first down marker.

The wow plays standout and are a reason he was drafted so highly...  but how many games has he won?  If he doesn't improve his ball placement and accuracy on short and mid range throws, he'll be another Cam Newton.
