To me, it looked like Dantzler thought he was going to intercept the long pass to Metcalf.  It was 4th down, your one job is to make sure the ball lands on the ground.

thats how I saw it as well,  it was hung up there (jump ball) and he was trying to field it like it was thrown to him and he was the only one out there.

dantzler misplayed the ball,  but honestly,  he was giving up about 60 pounds to DK,  I want to know why there wasnt a safety over top on him at that point in the game?  playing that way got us to that point,  but we all had to know that eventually that gamble wasnt going to pay off.  when they started running the safeties into the box I knew it was a matter of when they started connecting over the top on our young corners.
