Dak carted off
Dak Prescott is being carted off. His right foot turned sideways and his teammates’ reaction reflects the severity of the injury. https://t.co/xolXeZ2nLX

Ugh. I was watching. Then, they aired the replay. I feel horrible for the guy. He's really had a rough year and I wish him nothing but the best.
Big time Prayers up man @dak !!!!

I was watching and it was cringeworthy. I didn't want to post the video. I like Dak. He is a good dude. Hoping for the best but he was crying and biting a towel so there was a lot of pain. It was brutal.
Yep, Dak's a good guy. You hate to see that.
...and there goes my 4-0 fantasy team. But just picked up Capt. Kirk for the Atlanta matchup. Now watch, new coach will have them playing inspired football next week, ruining our chance at .500
Devastated for @dak - one of the truly great people in the NFL

I wasn't sure until the sideline reporter let us know it was his right ankle
that broke in two
After being transported to a local hospital, they've stated the he will be going into surgery. (Not that that wasn't obvious)
Very sad, but this is why you sign long term contracts vs taking a chance like something like this happens.

Don't know how close they got, but not close enough to seal a deal...
I certainly wish the best for Dak and I wish for 8/8 or 7/9 for The Cowboys this year.
Dak Prescott's brother checking in from the hospital 🙏

I take it his deal didnt get done? Damn this cost him a powerball win type contract.

Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott is now out of surgery for a compound fracture and dislocation of his right ankle, and the surgery that went “very well”, per a source. Cowboys Head Team Orthopedist Dan Cooper brought in noted foot and ankle doctor, Gene Curry, to do the repair tonight.

He will be fine, millions of dollars, all the best health care and rehab you could have imagined. It's an ankle injury
In the time since the OP was written, 4 vets in America committed suicide
Maybe we keep those "thoughts and prayers" where they should be

I feel bad for both. Dak's brother committed suicide so he is definitely grieving that loss. I feel for veterans that are in desperate need of help. I feel bad for anyone that is in pain and suffering.

Dak will be fine, people break their ankle all the time, very few have millions in the bank account to protect them.

My concern is regarding him as a person. He had a rough year. His brother committed suicide. He's suffered, as many do, from some mental health issues as a result (and was then criticized for publicly speaking on it). He was emotional when he left the field. Many humans can feel for another human in distress. We can even care about multiple people and issues at once. And lastly, some of us actively participate in supporting those who don't have those millions of resources. It's not all thoughts and prayers.
