Vikings to suspend in-person club activities due to Covid-19 concerns.

Soo.. The Titans aren’t allowed in their building until Saturday due to a Covid outbreak

That means their game this Sunday against the Steelers will most likely be postponed... The Steelers will now probably have a bye.
Seems like that’s considerably large news.
A league source has confirmed Titans have 3 new players have tested positive and 5 new personnel positives for the Covid-19. I'm told no decision has been made about this weekend's game against the Steelers in Nashville. The Titans facility is expected to be shut down.

The NFL has alerted the Vikings and Titans and their opponents for Week 4 that their games may be rescheduled.

We've been at a competitive disadvantage all season long so far.
Vikings source: "Still waiting to find out if this impacts our ability to practice. If so, it becomes longer meetings and film study. Lot of verbal walkthroughs. But I can't speculate right now as to whether we're at a competitive disadvantage or if the game should be canceled."

I've wondered a while how they could play this sport without transmission - especially just as kids are going back to school and other transmission factors rising.
Could be the beginning of the end of this season. There might be a lot of coin flips needed to determine 2021 draft position...
My prediction was the season will be done by Thanksgiving. I just hope the long-haul effects are not a real thing.

Neither of these teams will be playing this weekend.
Wonder what the NFL would do about the '21 draft order if they had to cancel the rest of the season, say, at this point. Not gonna happen, but as it stands right now, the Vikings have the 4th overall pick.
1. Atlanta Falcons (0-3)Strength of Schedule: .521
Next 4 Weeks: @GB, CAR, @MIN, DET
2. New York Giants (0-3)Strength of Schedule: .552
Next 4 Weeks: @LAR, @DAL, WSH, @PHI
3. Denver Broncos (0-3)Strength of Schedule: .583
Next 4 Weeks: @NYJ, @NE, MIA, KC
4. Minnesota Vikings (0-3)Strength of Schedule: .583
Next 4 Weeks: @HOU, @SEA, ATL, BYE
C'mon, Covid, we can do better. Just give us more time! 3 of the next 4 are very losable games!
If your temptation after an 0-3 start for the Vikings was to ask, “What else could go wrong?” then Tuesday provided a bleak answer. :s
Vikings had no positive tests. Given that, not sure why they can't just continue as normal.

Time lag on the incubation period: exposed on Sunday...
Typically, a person develops symptoms 5 days after being infected, but symptoms can appear as early as 2 days after infection or as late as 14 days after infection, and the time range can vary.
Report: Vikings told to plan for 48-hour closure of facility

No players or personnel have tested positive after playing against the Titans last Sunday, but the facility is closed as testing and tracing takes place. Albert Breer of SI.com reports that the team has been told that it will be closed until Wednesday at the earliest and that they should plan for a 48-hour closure.
Further clarity on the plans for Minnesota, Tennessee and this weekend’s games will have to wait for full testing results and word from the league about how they plan to proceed.

Anymore out breaks like this with stoppage of practicing and you might as well call the whole thing off as it will be a mess.
They couldn't even beat a sick team infected with COVID.
In any other workplace, people exposed to someone who tested positive is quarantined for 14 days. How did the NFL decide 48 hours was all that was needed? Seems like a business decision because they don't want to cancel 4 games (the Titans and Vikings for the next two weeks). But do they want to risk adding the Steelers and Texans to the list of exposed teams?

Help me out here.. if everyone on the Vikings tested negative this week as was noted above, what is the risk? That the tests are wrong and some guys actually have it? What am I missing?
