Betting nugget: Since hiring coach Mike Zimmer in 2014, Minnesota is 60-34-2 ATS overall (.638), 33-14-1 ATS at home (.702) and 26-11-1 ATS as a home favorite (.703) -- all the best marks in the NFL in that span (regular season).

Pretty impressive. It shows that Mike generally beats who he's supposed to beat at home. This is the kind of stat that before Zimmer Minnesota used to absolutely suck at.

This is good. But I have to wonder how much an advantage "home" really is in the age of Covid.

Interesting thing about these ATS stats, it appears Zimmer had his perfect QB in Teddy Bridgewater. From Twitter: "As a starting QB Teddy is 16-2 against the spread as an underdog. He is 28-7 against the spread overall. Both numbers are the best in the history of the NFL."

Good grab here. Honestly, I think there is zero home field advantage today for the Vikings. And that sucks.

If they gave you a Lombardi for beating the spread then yeah, it's awesome.

I cant imagine there is either...

Not being at a Vikings home-opener sucks. I suppose that's a "first world problem" with how sick and broken things are for too many.

So many question marks on this squad. I have no idea what kinda year we're about to embark on. Or for how long it will last?

Dawned on me last night, it's been a long, long time since we've seen the Vikings play. Longest stretch of no football for any of us who've been following an NFL franchise over years or even decades.

I'm glad there is pro football, but I ain't predicting a win today unfortunately.

It will be interesting to see what the team does in terms of crowd noise. Will it be loud? Can it be? What about the SKOL chant? Plenty of those on tape to sample. You know what they say...it's easier to get forgiveness than permission. Hope the Vikings stretch the rules a bit and make it as life-like as possible. If that's even allowed.

Well the positive I'm seeing 30 minutes into the season is one Gary Kubiak.
