You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams

KC is an excellent town that loves their sports teams. I'm happy for that city, I lived there a long time and raised my son there. Great people.
That's a lot of $ tied-up in Mahomes and Kelce...
Not sure I would have done it if I was GM...
lol
wanna see the middle of the country set records for anxiety med scripts written.... put Mahomes on the cover of Madden. I dont know how they are going to be able to pay the rest of the team, but the Chiefs have some studs and should still be getting better for the short term.
Kelce is coming off 4 consecutive 1000 yard seasons & he was getting Kyle Rudolph money, well deserved...

gonna be friendly to the Royals baseball team.
Their team is going to be so different come 2022. Kelce deserved his money, as did Mahomes. It'll be interesting to see how the possible dynasty transpires
Mahommes is great player and fun to watch. What do you think, is it his talent, Reid's offense, or both that makes him a great player?

Good question...
Mahomes is a special player and kudos to the Chiefs for giving him a good surround. Reid is damn smart guy too, at least he looks smarter now with that talent @ QB. Earlier years I would have criticized him for his post-season record.
I think the secret sauce was when Chilly was their passing coordinator :p
If I HAD TO assign why?
60% Mahomes
40% System/Coaching
Mahomes reminds me of Montana in some ways. When the game is on the line? He's ICE.
Loved the chilly and secret sauce comment! Too funny! Wish we had him on our team, but would he star with us? Unknowable for sure, but would fun to try him at QB!
I still believe players make the coaches in the NFL and coaches make the players in College. But I'm old school.
Would Belichek be that successful w/out Brady? Brady w/out Billy?
Montana without Walsh?
McCarthy w/out Rogers?
Holmgren w/out Favre?
Actually, I think Walsh was such a genius he might have succeeded with a lesser QB than Montana and maybe Young too?
Good points Purple. Well designed game plans are important but the players make it happen. The elite QB's rise to the occasion and make incredible throws. Brady, Farve, Montana, Rogers, and others have made the game exciting to watch to the end. Cousins probably never be named with that above group but would love for him to lead us to a SB win! We've all waited so long... I sure hope we have a season and can talk about developing players!
