If I was a possible first-round pick, I wouldn't go near this season either.

Yeah, if I were a top 15 pick lock then I dont think I would play either. There's no need for Trevor Lawrence to play this year
Dunno, I think professional sports has just committed suicide. The entitlement has been showing for quite some time, now every entitled player figures they don't have to play, but will expect the same treatment as if they did play.

I couldnt disagree more. Entitled athletes or not, all professional sports are so important that they will never fall apart (I'm talking NFL, MLB, NBA, PGA, and NHL). It is what it is this year, but once a vaccine is found and the dust settles, sports will be back in full force and people will be just as excited as they were a year ago.

Suicide? I don't get what that means. What harm did they self-inflict?
If major conferences had shifted games to spring - or if they end up doing so - I think the players opting out would be a flood, especially among those with good draft chances. Play through April and they have to be ready for NFL camp 3 months later, even greater risk if they get injured because they won't have any time to rehab before the draft. Honestly, I think it's a huge reason the conferences are trying to play in the fall, because they know they would lose all their star players.
This is a big blow for my Gophs...
edit: whoops, just saw rs posted this already.
