NFL players are opting out of the 2020 NFL season

sounds like a good trial for a rookie/developmental player league/season.

Can’t wait till we win the Super Bowl this year, so our one ultimate victory has an asterisk next to it.

honestly though,  how much of this is covid and how much is it players looking at their starting QBs and say F-it,  if the GM is sitting out this year... I will too.

A lot of guys with newborns really have a tough decision to make. That's what Hightower cited as his reason for electing not to play. The next month is going to be really interesting for the NFL

Question, is it mostly big money players?  The ones with large signing bonuses?
What about the players that are making league minimum? 

I heard that opting out gets the players 350k for not playing.  If that's true I wonder how many guys that would likely get cut would opt for that payday or if its not the same amount for everybody.

EDIT:  Apparently if the opt out is for health reasons its 350K,  if they just choose to sit out without a preexisting high risk condition its only 100 or 150k.

It sure seems to be a lot of linemen on both sides of the ball opting out.  I'd guess they have the most interaction and exchanging of bodily fluids during a game?
