At least IMO. The proof will be how it looks 3 years from now, but on the surface it appears very solid. I like that Spielman said both OG starting spots are wide open for competition as the Dark Elf just isn't worth a damn sadly. The challenge will be cobbling together a starting group with all the defections while allowing for competition, as you'd love some of the new starters to get as many reps as possible before Game 1. I'll leave that to the coaching staff. Spielman also mentioned that Reiff will be 'holding down the fort' until Cleveland gets up to speed, which seems to be very frank and direct talk so early in the offseason. Obviously, there's consensus within the organization that the offensive line needs to improve (duh).

One observation: has any of you watched closely games of LSU last year? In watching video of Joe Burrow, holy shit did he have time to throw the football. I wonder what kind of player he's going to turn out to be, JMO but he might be overrated currently. I like the kid, he certainly can be a good one but that O line sure gave him a ton of time. LSU was so freakishly talented.

My thoughts on Burrow:

He could not beat out J.T. Barrett at Ohio State

Prior to Joe Brady showing up, he had a 6th round grade per Kiper

He was surrounded by an all-star cast

Of the #1 overall QBs picked in my lifetime, he's got a way better chance of being Jim Plunkett than Andrew Luck

The rave about Burrow is based on one season. That got him the spot of the number one pick plus the injury to Tua. He seems like a good guy with the awareness and money raised for hunger but is he really worth the number one pick. Crazy amount of time spent as a backup. Cincinnati will find out. As far as the Vikings draft went, it's unreal the number of picks they had. It was a crazy draft no doubt and they got picks for next year too.

I think it was a solid draft. I wish guard and DT would’ve been addressed with higher picks.

Where guard is concerned I have to wonder if they feel they have a solution on the roster. They know those players and their strengths and weaknesses. They have quality O-line coaches, and I like Kubiak being our OC. I think I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt to the coaches where this position group is concerned.

D-line, specifically DT, is a big question mark to me. I like the addition of Pierce but I don’t have confidence in Jaleel Johnson or Jalyn Holmes. I wish we would have moved up for Madubuike or Gallimore. Pre-draft it sure sounded like they had a lot of interest in Madubuike.

Justin Jefferson, Jeff Gladney, and Ezra Cleveland were absolute home runs. I feel Dantzler was a great pick too. Despite my biggest worry about D-line, there’s still plenty to love about this draft class, IMO.

If I was Burrow, I not sure that I rather have Plunkett's career than Luck's.  16 years in the NFL with 2 Super Bowl wins vs. 7 years in the NFL with 4 post-season wins.

Who got the 2 rings? :p  Which might end up the ultimate parallel: Burrow gets a SB after leaving Cinicinnati.

Maybe Burrow will be able to do it  surrounded by a team of HOF members
