Best Available For Day 3
I'm curious to see how Spielman manages 13 picks and how many players we end up with at the end of day three. The official line is that they want the picks to be able to move up in the draft to get players that they want and that they feel rookie free agency will be a mess, so it will be easier for them to draft more players this year. They claim that they tried & failed to move up in round 3 and that 5 teams were bidding on pick 105, which drove the price up.
My (one) prediction is the Vikes choose DJ Wonnum in the 4th. I don't watch college FB or scout the available film. He just seems like a Zimmer type player as a rush end.

It seems they are afraid to move up so I will believe it when I see it. Might have to expand the practice squad to 20 players for the Rickers draft. I think it would have been better to have 7 picks in the top 3 rounds than 13 in the last 4.
If he keeps them all we can draft 5 more dbs, 5 dl, and 3 more ol.
I would love to come out of Round 4 with Ben Bartch, Antonio Gandy-Golden, and Jake Fromm.
I would have been happy with either of the first two at 105 before we traded back.
Hopefully Rick has been on the phone all night trying to trade up to the first couple picks of the round today.
For day 3, I'd like to come out of it with a DT, DE, OG, S, WR, slot CB & maybe a RB (to compete for the 3rd back). We have 14 picks, so that's not a huge ask.
This is a way to not have to negotiate and compete with other teams for top level UDFAs.

Rick loves the top pick in the 4th round. It's hard to get because everyone else loves it too, but I see him making a move to get as high as possible today.

The nice thing is... We can really sweeten our offer with all these picks. I hope Cincy is feeling like multiple extra picks early Day 3 is more worthwhile for their young team this year.
Use some picks to get 1 more 4th and one more 5th then just grab UDFA style the rest the way.

Holton Hill's ears just perked up...

OG Netane Muti, please. I know he's an injury waiting to happen, but at this point why not take a swing?
5. (Original: 70) iOL Netane Muti, Fresno State - An absolute bully on the field. Destroy many defensive linemen in the running game and in pass protection. Unfortunate injury past likely a reason why he’s available on Day 3.
How about Barch, Fotu, and Curtis Weaver in the 4th?
