If he really had a .47% completion percentage allowed, I think Dantlzer would have been a 1st rounder.
@JimmyinSD @purplefaithful @greediron could we pin this and the Ezra posts please

Just getting around to watching the tape Dantzler's people sent me. Can really see the 4.3 speed here. https://t.co/RBL1qGwXQ5 pic.twitter.com/9uija6ACK1

If he is really a 4.38 guy and only ran slow at the combine due to a sore hamstring....steal

I'm not sure I believe either time to be honest. There is only one CB who ever ran that slow and did anything at this level, and that was Josh Norman.
I do know that he was the one guy who shut down Ja'Marr Chase...apparently he was in his ear all game...between him and Gladney, aka The Vaccinater™, we are going to have some chatty CBs.
Get the kid over 190 lbs. and coach him up. I like the pick.

If his 40 is half way between 4.38 and 4.64, he's a steal. He was ranked as a low 1st, high 2nd before he threw up that duck at the combine. He doesn't look slow on tape.

I'm sure that Combine 40 had scouts running back to the tape. What they saw was 1 TD given up in two years and erasing Chase. If we had traded up for him, or Cleveland for that matter, I would not have blinked. So far, each pick has represented, IMO, excellent value and need fulfillment. Had we found a way to land a 3T or G yesterday, it would be easy to call this Rick's Sistine chapel.

Definitely not complaining after years of WTF picks like Michael Boireau and Willie Offord.

The days of Denny and Sherm resetting the board...

The days of Denny and Sherm resetting the board...
They drafted like they were drunk...and had zero cares or clues about consensus opinion.
Winner: Vikings
Like the Cowboys, the Vikings were the beneficiary of having players with Day 1 talent fall to them on Day 2. With the 58th pick, Minnesota was able to acquire former Boise State lineman Ezra Cleveland, who, according to CBS Sports NFL draft analysis Chris Trapasso, is the "perfect fit" for the Vikings' zone-blocking scheme because of his "high-level short-area athleticism."
Minnesota, who was able to select former TCU cornerback Jeff Gladney near the end of the first round, was able to further add to their cornerback room on Friday night, drafting Mississippi State's Cameron Dantzler with the 89th pick. While his size (he's only 188 pounds) and unimpressive 40 time at the combine likely led to him being available in the third round, Dantzler possesses plenty of upside that includes his natural ball skills, versatility and a feisty attitude that should serve him well at the next level.
