Strange as he played well as guard, sort of a unicorn for the vikings.

Vikings terminated contract of right guard Josh Kline, who signed in the 2nd wave of free agency last year. Kline had $1.8M guaranteed in 2020. Move frees up $1.57 in cap space but comes w/ $4.46 in dead money. If designated post June 1 they can spread dead money over 2 seasons.

Kline was one of our most consistent offensive lineman.

Makes 0 sense from a cap management standpoint. We'll have to see if it is a post June-1 cut since that at least spreads the cap hits out a little bit. Otherwise they nearly paid him to go away.

You're not going to get far asking him to renegotiate. With a good chunk of dead money and a league average salary there isn't really much room to come down.
