Wither Weatherly?
WTF? Why wouldn't the team at least be looking at a low market offer for a young and promising player they have developed?

Since he is not going to get a top of market offer you need to explore your ability to resign Everson or another top-end pass rusher. They won't have room for both.

We definitely have some really tough decisions ahead. Grif really had a great bounce back year and is a vocal leader on a team seriously lacking in that department. Weatherly was a bit disappointing for me, but Odenigbo definitely made up for that. I think in this case, it's more important to maximize the short term and go with the proven guy.

I still think the kid has a lot of potential if used more.

I really like Weatherly, he fits the bill and he's smart. I mean real smart, but he he and Odenigbo are about the same age and are competing for the same job. Something has to give.

most likely, but does it? I think a good rotation with DEs kicking inside on pass plays is deadly and will only make our starters more effective. I kind of doubt Weatherly breaks the bank in terms of offers to match if we get the option... but I could be wrong.

Vikings are working hard to workout an extension with Everson. Some competition for him though.

He's one of a handful of mid-to-late-round edge guys I think could more than replace what Weatherly gave us.

Why waste Weatherly's time?
Congrats to Weatherly, He's ridiculously smart kid who has earned this deal. Congrats to him
Is that contract big enough to bring back a Comp pick?
