Say What?!
Grant Delpit has a missed tackle problem we can live with pic.twitter.com/IPpSaXxGXv

the first one is a somewhat common missed tackle, its hard to adjust for a guy that should be coming forward that decides to step back as you are dropping your shoulder to make the stop, the second one he just got trucked a bit by a bigger physical receiver. He needs to clean up his technique a bit but it should be correctable.
He missed almost 20% of his tackles the prior year...
I don't want any part of a safety who can't tackle. I keep seeing his name pop up as a potential 1st round pick and it makes me cringe... Antoine Winfield Jr. is a much better prospect and he likely doesn't go until Day 2.
Sometimes I wonder what the media is thinking in their evaluations.
He was lights out years ago and looked like the next great LSU Safety if he just cleaned up the tackling. Didn't play near as well this year and the tackling didn't improve. Xavier McKinney is a much better prospect.
If you can't bring down a K, that's a man card violation.
He doesnt look afraid of contact which I think is an interesting dynamic to this. I expected to see a guy hesitating over contact and missing tackles, not a guy bouncing off ball carriers running through them.
I guess I can see why some might think its correctable or that he could be coachable. As a defender and tackler, you have to want to.
But i agree with most of yall... dont know if id want to deal with it lol

Agree. Too many 1st rounders bust in this league to use a valuable pick on one with a fundamentals problem at the college level. The runners don't get easier to bring down in the NFL. Day two maybe.
