They have plenty of flexibility to not only get under the cap but retain some of their own guys and shop around the edges of free agency. The new CBA will actually be a major contributing factor in how things shape up for MN in the next month or two. Without clarity on how cap roll-over will work moving forward teams are going to be encouraged to spend up to the cap. Basically, use it or lose it. Hopefully that gets addressed shortly.

I'm of the belief that you need to know your production at LT won't decrease without Reiff on the roster. I don't think we're at that point. Certain positions you can take a slight reduction in play to fill another need and achieve balance. You don't want to be doing that at LT. Especially when Kirk needs reliable protection.I do think Reiff likely would be open to a renegotiated deal and that likely would be in the form of added years. But I wouldn't go so far to say its a sure thing he is back the Vikings plans seem to be pretty fluid.
