WR Dominate Senior Bowl Practices

If we wanted to move on from Diggs, this would be a good year to dive in. Just a ton of prospects this year. Regardless, burning a pick to replace Treadwell at a minimum seems prudent.
The only issue is that we wouldn't be saving any Cap with trading Diggs this year. From what I have seen, his signing bonus' would fall on us in 2020.
I am all for it with the right price. I have been reading that this year is also a good year for WRs as well.
Salary is $14.5, dead money would be $9 per Sports Trac.

From my understanding that wouldn't be the case if he were to be traded. I can look more into it later.
That is prior to June 1st. If it is prior than we would be on the hook. If it is after June first then we would have a savings of 5.5 million and a hit of 9 million. Or at least that is how it breaks down.
Actually was thinking about this a couple days ago. What player would offer the most trade value that has a high cap value? The problem is, this receiver class coming out is a very good one. That said, a team with multiple first round picks and cap space might make sense. We would eat $9 million in cap this season and save $5, but it would free up $15 million next year. We have to make some serious decisions about where this team is going and its age.
That said, I'd start here:
Open up $38 million over the cap with these moves:
Trade Stefon Diggs (MIN) for (Saved: $5,500,000) for a 1st and 3rd round draft pick from an AFC team (Raiders)
Trade Anthony Barr (MIN) for (Saved: $2,300,000) for a 1st and 3rd round draft pick from an AFC team (Dolphins)
Release Everson Griffen (Saved: $13,068,750)
Release Riley Reiff (Saved: $8,800,000)
Release Xavier Rhodes (Saved: $8,100,000)
Release Linval Joseph (Saved: $10,487,500)
Release Shamar Stephen (Saved: $2,366,665)
Resign Anthony Harris to a 5 year deal
Resign Trae Waynes to a moderate deal or let him go
Resign Dan Bailey
Resign Britton Colquitt
Resign CJ Ham
Resign Eric Wilson
Resign Stephen Weatherly to a moderate contract or let him go

welcome meathead, good post. about the only thing i would argue with is that i cannot see any way Barr will be traded. I am not high on him but several good minds believe he is a good player. I would give him more freedom and use him as an attacker way more
