How High Could Kinlaw Go?
Another 3T option
@"BarrNone55" said:ESPN's Todd McShay believes that TCU DT Ross Blacklock is "one of the most underrated prospects in the country.""He is an athletic lineman with great size and power, and he plays with good effort," McShay writes of the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Blacklock. The analyst currently ranks the TCU defender as his No. 12 overall prospect for April's draft. While Blacklock came back strong in 2019 from an Achilles injury which cost him the whole of the 2018 campaign -- he logged 40 tackles (9.0 for loss) and three sacks in the fall -- medical checks figure to be important, here, as pro teams look to make sure that there are no lingering loose ends with the earlier injury.SOURCE: ESPN InsiderAnother 3T option
Just did a bunch of research on Blacklock. Kinlaw will almost certainly be gone and there's some who think that Gallimore is more of a 1 than a 3 tech. That leaves Blacklock, who seems to be all over the board on the various rankings. But I think given his pass rush chops, he's definitely one of the half dozen or so candidates for the Vikings at 25.
Agreed on Gallimore but don't sleep on Madubuike. PFF is all on on Elliot. I think there's a chance there's a kid with legit pass rushing upside that will be available in the 2nd Round.
The little I watched of Gallimore in the senior bowl was a mixed bag...seemed late off the line frequently...

@"FSUVike" said:I really like Elliott for what its worth. He won't be a day 1 starter since his game isn't well rounded and he'll get eaten up in the run game. But boy, as a pass rusher he can get up-field in a hurry and create problems. He also doesn't have a full pass rushing arsenal developed yet, so for a coaching staff like the Vikings... he will have some appeal.@"BarrNone55" said: https://twitter.com/i/status/1225467927337619457 PFF is gaga for Elliott also. 25. MINNESOTA VIKINGS — DI MARLON DAVIDSON, AUBURNDavidson was one of the biggest movers with his play at the Senior Bowl a couple of weeks ago. He has prototypical 3-tech traits even though he played mostly on the edge at Auburn. Earning an 83.8 pass-rushing grade playing out of position in the SEC is pretty dang impressive.
I have high hopes that the 3T gets solved this Draft.
They changed the school logo and now it looks like Native American Elvis. Us alums hate it.

"Well, it's one for the money,
two for the show, three to get ready..."
;)
MARLON DAVIDSON, DT, AUBURNThe first thing I do when studying a prospect is look up details about their background, take a look at their production and then see what their measurables are. Marlon Davidson is 6-foot-3 and 297 pounds with 32.875-inch arms. Cool, a defensive tackle ... right? Sometimes, but most of his reps came as a standup 3-4 outside linebacker. I was surprised to say the least when I fired up that Oregon game in Week 1, and subsequent games, and continued to see him play in that role.
Obviously, Davidson is miscast as a 3-4 outside linebacker, but I am excited about what he can do as a penetration-style 3-technique in the NFL. Davidson brings a rapid first step, heavy hands, a hot motor and low pads that translate wonderfully to that role.
Davidson was a four-year starter at Auburn, that improved every year, but the spotlight was stolen by Derrick Brown. Don’t sleep on Davidson as a versatile defensive lineman that can play a variety of techniques and make an impact at the next level.
For the real draft guys here that study more with smaller colleges than my power 5 teams lol. Is there a legit 3T that is flying under the radar, and is there a legit chance that we will have a good option in the first round come April?
This exactly the kind of 3T that will be available at 25. Upside is huge, so is the risk. Elliott. Madubuike. Blacklock. Gallimore (he's an NT BTW), Davidson. All have warts and fairly significant bust potential.
I'd rather trade back and grab one of these guys with an early 2nd and use the additional 2nd on LG or CB. At 25 I want more of a sure thing.
Yeah, I know he played 0 and 1 at OU, but I think he's a 3T at the next level...
