TDN Mock Simulator
I've done a couple dozen of these now. The last two had both Becton and Kinlaw off the board. The one commonality across all the simulations is JD Spielmen is available late. Anyone want to bet against him being drafted by dad with one of our 7ths?

@"purplefaithful" said:if its as some say, that Rick and Zim are not going to move off Cousins... then why bother with a QB? I dont see the need to draft a late round one whos ceiling is career clipboard holder, and I dont see taking an early round pick if they are going to extend Cousins anyway.@"JimmyinSD" said: ya'll keep forgetting to take a kicker... :# And a qbhonestly this team could go in so so many directions in the next 2 months that any speculation right now is futile IMO.

Agree. IF he's going to be QB2, he has to be taken in the 1st three (maybe 4) rounds. I wouldn't waste that high of a pick on a QB with so many other needs. And why bother with a late one? Sign Siemian or re-sign Mannion. Whoever it is, he can't hit our cap harder than about $1M.
I would seriously consider someone like a Hurts, depending on round and how the boards look at the time. I think Love and a few others are going to get over-drafted just cause of the position importance.
I would deem it just good nfl practice to have a developmental guy around. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then.

QBs are all over drafted, even Hurts if you want him will have to get taken sooner than he likely should based on the expected learning curve... its just the nature of the draft.

Agree. But let's say you take Hurts in the 4th round. He might replace Browning. But you still need a QB2.

did we hear a while back that the team really likes Browning? is this because he runs the scout team really well and he doesnt drop the clipboard, or do they really think he has potential as a starter or #2 some day? Maybe its because he doenst have his own trademarked material, or possibly Zim is big on how well he hands the ball off?
I messed up and went Claypool in the 4th,
even though I like him. I could have got better value if I went S or G in the 4th.
However, I am high on Samia as our LG

The bolded part. His ceiling is #3 on a two QB roster. Of course I think the same of Mannion.

@"FSUVike" said:Nope, as I've said all along, I think maybe the best solution for the left side is to keep Reiff where he is, draft a LT who will play LG for a year (assuming Samia doesn't win the the job). Jones, Jackson, Cleveland, Bartch are all good candidates for that.@"MaroonBells" said:Bartch isn't replacing Reiff?@"FSUVike" said:It'll be a damn good competition between Bartch and Samia.@"MaroonBells" said:

@"MaroonBells" said:I like that idea a lot! Samia pushes Kline. Udoh maybe replaces Hill as a cheaper Swing Tackle option with more upside. Rudy quietly had his best year as a blocker and if Morgan comes back they can help Reiff when he's up against the speed rushers. And you have 4 out of the 5 staying in the same spot for the 2nd consecutive year under Dennison and Kubiak.@"FSUVike" said:Nope, as I've said all along, I think maybe the best solution for the left side is to keep Reiff where he is, draft a LT who will play LG for a year (assuming Samia doesn't win the the job).
