Thielen rolls ankle, Diggs DNP 2nd straight practice

Diggs is just an illness, so I'm not overly concerned about that. But Thielen left practice after hurting his ankle. Meanwhile, 49ers have a fully healthy roster. Good. Game will be more evenly matched now.

Yes, I'm sure he's just pouting.
Wouldn't be a first for him missing practice following games he pouted about the offense.

There was a very good discussion regarding Diggs on Skor North radio post that Saints game.

What many fans dont understand is that Diggs' frustrations aren't about him not getting the ball. It's about the team doing better and doing more to win a game. Players and coaches.  I'll be quick to acknowledge the optics dont always come across that way.

Sounds like teammates and coaches know this intent already. I'm good with it as a fan, he's a very emotional player.

Seriously? Diggs gets frustrated when the offense is stagnant and and he is not helping - whether because he is open and not getting the ball or because he is covered and not getting the ball. We won a road playoff game in N.O. last week. He contributed. He is not frustrated.

hey bro! i live in the east bay area. (fremont)
yeah i listen to them sometimes but most of the time they sound like complete homers.

they’re going to get kwon alexander back. but he’s been injured all year, soooo we’ll see how he’ll shake the rust off.

jimmy G is a decent qb. he throws at aleast one to two stupid passes a game, so our secondary will have a chance to capitalize.

im not scared of their receivers outside of emmanuel sanders. same with the running game tbh.

THE only thing im worried about is their D LINE.

Right On! My label printing company is just above you in Hayward - off of the Whipple Rd. / Huntwood Ave. area.
Agree that 95.7 The game are a bunch of homers - but I will say they are talking much more about the game and match up than KFAN in Minneapolis (I listen to that station on-line to try and catch Vikings news etc. - but they are either annoying with hosts like the Common Man or too cynical like Barreiro, and then talk about either Gopher Sports and other MN teams I don't care about).

We can only hope that the Vikings capitalize on the couple stupid passes by Jimmy G with some picks - perhaps a pick 6. Completely agree about their D Line - with DE Dee Ford back as well as LB Kwon Alexander being cleared to come back. There was some stat I heard that when all Bosa, Ford and Alexander are on the field together that they average a sack every 7 plays. Something outrageous like that. So that worries me tremendously. Our O-line better not have a game like they had against GB Monday night. I want the NO game O-line - I could be ok with another performance like that one.

Excited for the game - just wish it was Sunday and we had an extra day to prepare and get healthy.  Just have to figure out what will be on my BBQ and what will be my adult beverage of choice! Where are you watching the game? Home? A local Bar?

Agree. LIke Randy Moss at the time, he's probably the most misunderstood player on the team and my favorite Viking. I love the kid. Even when he's a diva. Like Randy, he's got a big heart and a great sense of humor.

The comments sound like people bashing Diggs. I don't see any reason for it. He is a passionate player. There are always some on every team. I have no problem with it. His teammates don't seem to think it's an issue either.

Cool, now can you pull video of him  taking off his helmet while still on the field and chucking it on the sidelines because he was sulking about not getting the ball? Can you then show him sulking to teammates directly after that?   Perhaps you can also go back to past games and find video of teammates having to stand in front of him so he doesn't walk up to coaches and make a bigger scene than he already had. Thats happened more than once in his time here.

Yep dude sounds like a grade A team player with gems like this!@"purplefaithful" said: There was a very good discussion regarding Diggs on Skor North radio post that Saints game.

“I feel like there’s truth to all rumors no matter how dress you it up,” Diggs said. “I won’t be saying nothing on it. I won’t be speaking on it at all. But there is truth to all rumors, I guess.”-Diggs 10/03/19

This pretty much flies in the face of everything that happened in early October where coaches sure as heck didn't seem to think this way after he refused to deny rumors of a trade request or beef with Cousins. Players coming out publicly to defend Cousins at that time but not publicly defending Diggs is pretty resounding. Yep dude is a grade A team player with comments like the one above. Rather than being a cry baby any teammate worth a darn would have sucked it up and said "no truth to the rumors, moving on to this weeks opponent". Instead he dropped comments like this and posted cute little cryptic emojis on Twitter, like a sulking teen.

Stagnant? He was pouting when the team was winning and we were running the ball very effectively in the first half. He was pouting when we were up 20-10 early in the second half. He was pouting well before the offense became stagnant.

After an opening fumble, we scored a quick FG and then a TD with about 1 minute left in the half. The rest of the first half we managed 0 points. That's stagnant.  ...

Pouting? Pouting is sulking. It is inactive. It is removing yourself from the situation.  Diggs did not do that.  Nobody says Tom Brady is pouting when he comes off the field and throws his helmet.  Or Rivers.  Those guys are fiery competitors.

I guess I care more about points than yards, name me the last time someone with more yards beat a team who had more points than them. The Saints hadn't allowed a hundred yard rusher all season, if you paid attention it was clear the plan was to establish the run. At half time Cook sat at 83 yards rushing and a score and the team was up 10.  Zero reason to behave how Diggs did.

Pouting: "to show displeasure by thrusting out the lips or wearing a sullen expression". I guess you think Diggs was smiling after he stomped off the field and threw his helmet. At any rate you know what I meant when I said pouting. How about this, he was acting like a child who didn't get their way? Do Brady or Rivers frequently draw attention to themselves by acting like Diggs has on multiple occasions? Have they handled team struggles by refusing to publicly deny any issues or at minimum drop a no comment? Or did they send cutesy emoji's on twitter and give cryptic comments on said issues? Coaches and players coming out to defend Cousins but declining to defend Diggs is pretty dang telling with that drama Diggs created.

You name any player that behaves like Diggs does, I dont care who they play for, what position they play, or any other reason you may have had to specifically chose those two examples. And Im going to say they are acting like brats. Sorry I care more about the team and whats right  than picking a player or two to latch onto and  act as they can do no wrong. This is the very reason Adrian Peterson is an absolute dumpster fire in my eyes. No amount of talent excuses acting like an asshole. Be it as big as being a scumbag child beater like Peterson or small like Diggs being a crybaby. I am not going to make excuse for grown ass men acting like babies.

I never mentioned yards, only points. Not sure what argument you are making. Then you go and focus on Cook’s yards. Hmm, maybe you are arguing against yourself.

At halftime we were up by 3. Thanks to a missed FG. Being up by 10 is pretty good, unless we could have been up by 18. And you saw how quickly N.O. erased that huge 10 point lead. I’m glad we have a player who is not satisfied with just ok.

Cook stood up for Diggs when asked. i have heard no player say that Diggs hurt the team on Sunday, just some Vikings fans.

niceeee bro were pretty close to each other! hayward unfortunately has a lot of sketchy crazy people haha. were you born here in cali too?

im super excited as well bro! i’m going to watch the game at my place. my brothers and cousins are all niner fans so its gonna be interesting. might have to fight some family on saturday haha.

i got a email that theres going to be a big viking get together in santa clara where a bunch of fans are gonna watch the game. want me to forward to you?

please do forward the get together info my purple brother!
Too funny about the crazys her in Hayward. Driving around the corner from my office are plenty of trippy people roaming around. The local small strip mall liquor store has plenty of wierdos wandering around for entertainment!’

Was actually born in Minneapolis/ St. Paul MN and lived my first years in Minnetonka. but have been a NorCal boy since i was 4. Im 53 so been a long suffering Vikings fan. My God  Father was good friends with Fred Cox and Bill “Boom Boom” Brown, and all these things helped make me a Huge California Viking fan.

If we win, maybe you can get some video of your niner fan relatives losing it and post them to YouTube for all to enjoy! Hope your safe however, lol!

Awesome to know I have a local Viking Brother from this site/forum just around the corner!!
