National media loving Chargers to win
Might be the scariest of the 3 games remaining...definitely going to be close...
We need to come out swinging. Forget this get a small lead and try to hang on. Mindset on offense should be we expect to get no help from the "D" so we are going to be aggressive for 60 minutes.
PRetty much kiss the division good-bye with a loss. Gives Rams and Bears big hope too.
Go Bears this week...
Put rivers on his ass early and often, he is getting up there and doesnt like getting knocked around. He will become antsy and look for check downs first and when they arent there he will throw it up for grabs.
Everything about this week's game has me nervous. This is the type of game that more often then not Zimmer fails at. That's just my perception don't nail me down with facts and stats. If we don't win this game I'm going to be pissed just saying it now. Run the table is our goal. Starts tomorrow but I sure don't feel good about it. Why??
I don't know if I'll be able to forgive Zimmer if after 6 seasons and a massive amount of draft and cap stock his defense fails us agian. This is the game both Mike and Kirk need to win to keep us in the division race and prove they're both worth keeping around long term. Christmas better come early or I'm gonna go Grinch team wise.
Bottom line. Win this game and the last two home games are really gonna be special. Lose and it will feel like the season ended already. Whatever the national media says. Which I imagine won't be flattering. I won't know though because I'll do want I do after all disappointing loses. I'll tune it and Mike out.

Everyone's assuming the Chargers are done shooting themselves in the foot. I like Zimmer, Griff, Hunter, Barr and crew to at least put the gun back in their pocket.
That Chargers defense is legit and the OL needs to be ready. Kirk needs a good and fast start. I am so happy about Adam Thielen but please don't forget everyone else. The defense needs to get some stops and get after Rivers. Be aggressive, no turtling up.
There D is scary, especially in the passing game. I agree with Jimmy, we need to get to Rivers early and often. No big plays given up on D like we have lately.
Well, not all of them... ;) B)

I expect to see zero pass rush for the defense as is usually the case on grass. And the secondary is not good enough to hold up with no pass rush.

Is this going to be the beginning of the end, or the start of something special. It is certainly a potential pivot point.
It would be so Vikings like to lose this one and be dependent upon the final game , against the Bears, to even make the playoffs.
But the Vikings, who I expected would go 7-9 this season, have been re-writing history a bit this season and seem to be reversing some bad trends.
If the Vikings ever want to be champions, they take care of business this week and the remainder of the regular season, and carry that momentum through the playoffs and superbowl.
They have worked hard to be in position to do well. Let's hope they don't squander this opportunity to change the history of the franchise.

this is the type of game our 70’s Vikings would win easily. probably block a field goal, Chuck catching balls from Fran, and our D line with Page, Eller and company creating constant havoc and hell for the QB. i would be relaxed and confident going into this type of game. But now, im nervous as all get out. I miss our 70’s dominance.

Normally I would listen to it on the radio. But I think I will save myself some angst and hide in a hole until it's over. Then check the final score.
I find it funny how so many are already making excuses for how upset they will be when we lose. I fully expect a win, it may be a tough road game but we have won several tough road games already this year and we were right in the others in KC and Seattle, 2 tough places to play.
The Chargers offensive line has been in shambles most of the season. If there was any game to dial up some blitzes and then play cat and mouse with the Double A gap look, this is it...
Rivers is a good QB, but if we can get him rattled, he will start pressing and throw some questionable balls. We really need our secondary to step up and get some turnovers.
I feel good about this game, but it all starts up front (on both sides of the ball). Stop the run, get pressure, and open up some holes for Dalvin to do Dalvin things. The rest will take care of itself.

I agree with you. The problem is, puckered up Zimmer hasn't been dialing up much lately. I feel like they are really wasting a guy like Barr on the team as of now.
