They should change the rules to seed teams by w/l and apply rest of tiebreakers.  Also, if a team doesnt win 9 games, they shouldnt be in the postseason

I'm for that... 9 wins to "qualify for playoffs."  A 9-7 team makes the playoffs almost every year and only rarely eliminates a team with a better record.  An 8-8 or worse team kicks out one or two more deserving teams every time.

If an 8-8 team wins their division, good for them.  They can have a division championship banner for consolation as best of the crap.  It's bad enough missing the playoffs to teams of the same record that they wouldn't without the automatic division championship birth, but to a team with 2-3 fewer losses is ridiculous.

Agreed, we didn't make it at 8-7-1 but would have at 9-6-1.( wins should be the mark.Or they can get rid of divisions and every team in the conference plays every team in the conference.

disagree. We only think this way because we’re looking at a wildcard. Division winners should be represented and earn a home game.

As far as the NFCE getting a spot?  Its any given Sunday. theres no saying whomever play who that the east team wont win.

Dallas will be a huge ratings draw.

I want a team to win their division at 6-10. That would be funny. Sweep their terrible division and go 0-10 outside and make the playoffs...oh boy fun. B)

We made the playoffs twice at 8 wins  1978 8-7-1 1 and done to the Rams  2004 8-8 beat Green Bay then lost to Philly.

Seattle made the play offs at 7-9 (worst full season record to ever make the playoffs)

Just saw that 5 times a team with 8 wins or fewer have won a playoff game...

Any given Sunday.
