Well, its something to chew on....
The Chargers are 0-7.
Herbert, in truly bizarre fashion, is right there with Jones as the worst quarterback in the league. After six straight seasons with a passer rating of at least 93, he’s down at sub-McCarthy levels (69.3) with 5 TDs and a league-high 10 INTs.
It’s hard to wrap your head around how far he’s fallen this season.
Herbert has three years left after this one on his massive contract. If the Vikings were to trade for him, they’d be making a big bet that this year is an anomaly.
Even with his struggles, the Chargers would undoubtedly ask for multiple first-round picks. It’s difficult to see Teasley deciding to hitch the Vikings’ future to Herbert.”

That sucks, sorry to hear that...Glad she's getting out there and voting.
What a world...
Most know the side I am on, but that was the first time she has seen it done to her, from someone else. We talked and she will vote most likely the way I do now. At the end, she was very distraught and always was kind. Sucks because her kindness seems to be leaving now. Not what I wanted out of her. But I can't blame her, I guess. MN is wild at times lol. I don't care how you vote, just go out and do it. No matter what side you are on, voting is all that matters 😊
For me, on a personal level, I got the answers I was looking for on the defense yesterday. They’re 1000% legit. They held that offense to 19 and only gave up that much because they ran out of steam at the end of the game. Legit Super Bowl worthy defense.
I say that because it’s the only thing keeping me from being 100% convinced that this isn’t going to be a “you made your bed…” scenario with the Vikings. Though, I’m at about 90% certainty that’s what we’re looking at.
I’ve said previously the only QB acquisition that makes sense is Cousins if you’re trying to go all-in to salvage the season. I’ll soften that slightly to Jones, because he WAS here. However he hasn’t played well this season plus there’s his contract…it’s just objectively a worse move. Also Mullens is no better option than Wentz.
After those two, no one gives you an opportunity win this year after coming in mid season. That’s it. You HAVE to bring someone in with familiarity with the system.
I don’t think the Raiders willingly trade Kirk unless we overwhelm them with an offer and I don’t even know if Daniel Jones could work cap-wise or would be THAT significant an upgrade given how he’s played this year.
I’ve said this whole season how devastatingly the Vikings have shit the bed where the QB position is concerned…going all the way back to when Cousins was here. And now they’re forced to lay in it.
My thoughts on options:
Cousins - the ideal by a significant margin. He’s lighting it up this year and he’d adapt fast. He could instantly make this a playoff team and potential contender. I’d aggressively go after him, unfortunately they are 4-4 so that will be tough.
Mac Jones - he’s looked good at times and is certainly more capable than our starter. 9ers likely want a 1st rounder. I wouldn’t do it, but I’d go a 2. A definite bonus for him is he’s cheap and it gives you a great option to evaluate him as a future starter. He’s 28 and his contract is up this year. If he thrives in the system, resign him and he’s not likely going at premium money.
Geno Smith - solid efficient QB having a good year despite playing on a bad team. His team is very limited for backup options to replace him unfortunately.
Justin Herbert - he’d be right up there if I thought it was something that could get done. He’s struggling this year, but his line is horrendous. He has no time at all. That’s why he’s struggling.
That’s it for me. Danny Dimes is not viable to me. I think Wentz is at least as good. I think Wentz is better than Mullins so I wouldn’t go that route.
These 4 are it for me. In my opinion trading 9 would have had me firing Teasley if I owned the team. Regardless of who pushed for it, he had to have cleared it and is ultimately responsible. It was a reckless and illogical decision. A high pick offering is one thing, but for a half bag of beef jerky? Simply having him as an option to turn to and for injury protection was worth far more.

Cousins could be a good fit and I agree he may be the best option at this time (assuming a reasonable trade price and salary). Who is the third string QB for the Raiders? Is he ready to be the backup? If not, a Cousins trade is a definite NO for them.
Mullens is familiar with KOC offense as well and not afraid to toss the ball. More yards, more receptions, more points but also more INT's. I'd gamble with him rather than sticking with Murray! Disclaimer, there are several reasons why I am not a GM... LOL
Kirko
Mendoza
Aidan O'Connell

This might cause most a big pause; would u give up a 2nd rounder for kirko? Or they might want a second in 27 and a 4th in 28.

I would say a 3, but I would consider a 2.

It seems the Raiders have lost confidence in Jeanty as well. Can you do a 2 for Kirko and Jeanty and throw Kyler back at them? Probably a pipe dream for sure.

Jeanty was the most overrated RB to come out in a bit. Never saw it with him. I think a few called him 'generational', lmao.....didn't know they meant generationally bad.

Yeah, Ideally we would have a no lose situation here with JJ. Play him, if he improved, then you might have something. If not, well he can't be worse than Murray. But that ship has sailed.
Agree that DJ is not a good option. Cousins might if he were available. Doubt Herbert is available either. But given that Wentz is our best option right now, we really could use something. Made me even start wondering how Brosmer has been looking.

There is a whole different angle with the Kirk option, however. If he is really helping Mendoza behind the scenes, he is not tradable. I would have to think we already inquired behind the scenes.

Beyond that, I do wonder if Kirk is still a little butt hurt about not getting one last contract here. There is a whole human factor involved that those of us who want to Madden trade for a guy that we just can't predict. Sometimes dudes just don't want to play somewhere (Deforest Buckner) no matter the compensation dangled for him.
I know he did say his family liked it here. Tell him if he comes here and plays and we win a Super Bowl, we will give him a 100 million dollars after he retires! That might motivate him!

Haha just saw this. Yeah, I agree with you for sure. I think we have to start looking at plan C.
