The Train Wreck That Is The Chargers
Hampton was my favorite back coming out. Maybe they take a 2 and a 5 this draft? Really need a solid three man rotation as our first two backs can’t stay on the field.
Regardless. What an absolute nightmare season in LA. There’s talk of replacing Macdonald with Gase! Talk about frying pan into the fire.

If you can get Hampton at a decent price, then go for it. Still pissed off that we passed on a RB in that draft class. How you pass on a damn RB in that class is absolutely mind blowing. We had limited picks, I get it.
I was a Judkins and Harvey guy in that class. Really liked Skattebo, but sometimes I wonder if he needs to read the room at times.
Not that I've paid much attention to their situation, but other people have mentioned that their heavily invested OLine has been pretty decimated with injuries.
Really surprised by how much by how much their struggling though.
I have watched some of their games - don't ask me why. They still use Hampton as RB1. He splits touches with Vidal and Mitchell, but Hampton usually gets more touches than the others. Still, no way I trade a 2026 2nd and a 5th for him. A third at most.

Its a 3rd to a 4th - it really comes down to whether they are going into a different direction than the downhill zone running back.

Loved Skattebo coming out that year. My FIL was an ASU fan so every time we went to his house on Saturday's they were on. That Bowl game they played in 25 he was sensational and it was a crime he lasted to the 4th round. If we had taken Skattebo instead of Felton, we would be light years better on that offense I believe.

The guy I really wanted, as I’ve mentioned ad nauseaum, was Tuten. Already an accomplished KR, as opposed to an aspiring one (fuckin Felton!) good size, excellent speed. He would have been the perfect choice for a minimum of 9 turf games a year.
But, having a WR5 and occasional punt gunner is nice too.

I think everyone in Chargerland is better than they look right now. Herbert, Hampton, Harbaugh. This is not a tear down team. But they do need some kind of Carl Eller-and-a-chalkboard wake up call and firing McDaniel would be a good first step.

Which would usher in Adam Gase.
Yeeesh

About 15 or so 10+ yard runs in that clip... and he's only getting like 10-12 touches per game and Keaton Mitchell and Vidal are getting 6-8 each... if they actually fed Hampton another 6-8 of those he would be wearing down defenses and popping more. Give him to us, we'll use him as a bell cow.

Tell me he's on your fantasy team without telling me he's on your fantasy team. 😜

Yup. Those 2-3 yarders turn into 5-7 yarders and eventually 10+ yarders.

Thats awful. They are a dumpster fire right now. I did trade Vele for McConkey because the offense has to get better for the remainder of the season. Offensive line will get better and most likely Mcdaniel will be fired in the next week or two and they go back to the zone blocking and offense they used last year.
