The Train Wreck That Is The Chargers
My personal favorite Vikings trade target is Chargers RB Omarion Hampton. The LA Chargers are a disaster, Per Sumer Sports, their EPA is ranked 32nd in the NFL. Last. Since 2020, some notable Chargers first round picks are: 2020: Justin Herbert, QB 2021: Rashawn Slater, OT 2022: Zion Johnson, OG 2023: Quentin Johnston, WR 2024: Joe Alt, OT 2025: Omarion Hampton, RB The Chargers have invested premium draft capitol at QB, 3 offensive lineman, A WR and RB for a dead last offense. The Wilder part is that they aren't even all busts. If this wasn't the Chargers with a bottom 5 fanbase, this would be a much bigger story. Jim Harbaugh needs to go immediately. Mike McDaniel is a good play caller but clearly there was not an alignment heading into the season. As a CEO head coach, that cannot be the case. Reports of Hampton falling to third on the depth chart is criminal misuse. I fully expect changes in LA this offseason. Their Offense is terrible; their Defense is old and on expiring deals. The Vikings need to pounce on a buy low RB who is still only 23.

Hampton was my favorite back coming out. Maybe they take a 2 and a 5 this draft? Really need a solid three man rotation as our first two backs can’t stay on the field.
Regardless. What an absolute nightmare season in LA. There’s talk of replacing Macdonald with Gase! Talk about frying pan into the fire.
