Penalties have been drive killers but the same problems JJ McCarthy had last year seem to still be there this year. He needs to play in the 2nd half.

It’s one throw in a greater body of work on a play that didn’t work out. If those are the glimpses that we are using for hope it is no wonder he wasn’t a real factor in the “QB Competition” Wentz is my QB2 and it isn’t even close.

I think a mixture of what both of you guys are saying is correct for that play. McCarthy needs to pull the trigger earlier in general, though. He goes through progressions, but sits on the ball for a while and fails to throw anyone open.

McCarthy is still learning how to throw touch on the ball and that is different timing, so yeah, that'll take some getting used to. Not sure why he's not out there playing right now.
