GAME DAY! Preseason Game 1 ~ 08/15 ~ Giants
Preseason Game 1
@ NYG - SAT 08/15 - NOON
I thought it would be nice to have a thread for all things pertaining to the Giants game. Before, during, & after.
It makes it easier to keep up with any news, info, articles, opinions, observations, etc.
Game day posts are nice for those that aren't able to watch the game.

We're on to Max Brosmer, who figures to get the rest of the game at quarterback as the Vikings finish this one out

Myles Price is definitely more than just a return guy. Sounds like he worked his ass off in the offseason and it's showing.

Carson Wentz took 14 snaps. Looked like the player who helped the Vikings' offense survive for a stint last year. Now, Max Brosmer time.

It's not uncommon. And you're leaving out the part where we tried running it in with no success about 37 times before calling the fade.
And you're leaving out the part where KOC has preached a new commitment to a power run game. Line up your snobber knockers and let them line up theirs. Send a message to your team. WE'RE GOING TO BE MORE PHYSICAL THAN THE OTHER TEAM!
Vikings undrafted rookie safety Jacob Thomas — who has had a damn good training camp — ranges over and snags an interception.

Jacob Thomas with an interception against Brandon Allen! The undrafted rookie out of James Madison has generated some real buzz in camp, and you can see why. Smart player with range and ball skills.

I doubt he had Claiborne in that discussion when he said that, as well as the backup/backup-backups. Based on that first run of Claiborne's, both Jones and Mason score.

Sounds tough and all, but if you fail to punch it in yet again, it sends the opposite message, that we're NOT more physical than the other team.

Let's play smart finesse football for another 50 years. Of course, we won't win shit. You just don't get it. Football is won by the aggressors. Maybe not on every play or every series. The last several Super Bowl winners won by mauling the opponent.
Vikings QB Carson Wentz re-entered the game. Saw Vikings VP of health Tyler Williams checking on Max Brosmer's hand on the sidelines. Had some substantial tape on the throwing hand.

I agree with you, but based on what I saw from our offensive and defensive lines at the beginning of the game, with our starters, we looked real good, moving the pile on both fronts.

Aggressive or finessive, I'd say what works most often at the goal line is what the defense isn't expecting.

Vikings win the preseason opener, 13-10. Myles Price was the star of the day on offense. Carson Wentz ran the show effectively in the second half. B-Flo's defense had 4 sacks and 2 INTs.

Jamal Adams getting carted off was brutal to see, but there was a lot to like on the field…

The Vikings are preseason winners. Myles Price was a clear winner. The dude was snagging passes all over the place. The Jamal Adams injury was brutal. Feel for a dude who seemed to really be establishing himself with this group. Joint practices forthcoming.
