I told you. Abribeacadabra and "poof". Now come the stall tactics to delay a trial until after the season or force the state to plead out to some no-jail offense.

Yeah, I am a collector of QB rookie cards. I don't mess with much else. Have a Jordan, I can't seem to find much for decent deals on a Kobe. I have about $15K invested in McCarthy, with a chance for a big return. It hasn't gone down much, which upsets me lol. Would love to stock up on the cheap. It isn't, it has gone up recently again.

I’ll see your $15k and raise you a jersey. $25 direct from DHgate.

Guess there was some smoke to that fire. Either that or he wasn't that good.

Kirwin thought he would have earned the 5th year option this year. We’ll never know now.

Does make you wonder if they would have let this play out if he were a better player. He wasn't terrible, but in no way was he living up to his 1st round status.

Since that week 18 victory over the Vikings to close out the 2024 season, the Lions have lost the following starters:

4 out of 5 starting OL
Taylor Decker, LT
Graham Glasgow, LG
Frank Ragnow, C
Kevin Zeitler, RG

Their RB2
David Montgomery, RB

Both starting Edges and their NT
Za’Darius Smith, ED
Josh Paschal, ED
DJ Reader, NT

Nearly their entire secondary
Terrion Arnold, CB
Amik Robertson, NB
Ifeatu Melifonwu, FS
Kirby Joseph, FS (uncertain when he’ll return)
Brian Branch, SS (out at least until December with achilles)

And with UFA and Draft now over their only out is a trade. Just like Ragnow last summer, teams that lose starters in July are SOL

Don't forget they lost their best coaches as well.

We shall see how the knee capper handles this.

Doesn't look like a great investment. I thought too much of the kid. I mean, I still do but didn't think age would factor as much as it did. He is still the 2nd youngest QB in the NFL last year. So, I hope he can prove the upside. His winner mentality is a good thing to have. That gives me hope. I bought at the rising of him and that was stupid. It is hard to know when to invest in someone. 2025 was the first time I stayed clear away from QBs. I never bought a single card of any of them except one. Topps Chrome Jaxon Dart Blue Refractor Autograph. This year is a lot of the same. I won't even buy one.

Don't feel bad. We all make moves that dont always pan out. I've got more than I can keep track of at this point. 😀 If Murray bombs I'm hoping JJM gets comeback player of the year and leads us to many SB's so you can cash in It aint over yet!

I recognize that the offseason is still ongoing, but it has been an incredibly positive period for JJ. I must acknowledge the significant effort he has put in during this time. Addressing milestones such as his wedding and the arrival of his child at the young age of 21/22 may provide him with greater focus moving forward. I remain high about his future. My hope with the addition of Kyler was to see the mentality that JJ has demonstrated since high school—a work ethic and commitment to improvement. JJ has showcased that determination, continuing to work tirelessly.

This mindset should help him deliver more consistent performances over the course of an entire game. It is evident that he elevates his play to another level during critical moments when the opportunity to secure a win. His ability to take over the fourth quarter and lead his team to the win in his first game was a clear example.
