Right? On the surface, many teams would likely value Verse over 30yo Garrett. Only 25, on his rookie contract, cornerstone at edge for the next 8 years. The future looks bright. But at this very moment, Garrett is the best in the business. Classic case of win-now thinking. They did the same thing with Stafford, Jalen Ramsey and Von Miller.
Whoever says the draft is the way to build a team needs to look at what the Rams have done.

Well....a main reason the Rams could pull this off is BECAUSE of a guy they drafted (Verse) as part of the comp. The Rams have a very nice QB1 in Stafford, he's why they are swinging for the fences and rightly so. You still need to build your team through the Draft IMO, its vital. But certainly not 100% of the equation.

I think the Rams are exploiting how much NFL teams overvalue draft picks and are taking advantage.

They have also done well in the middle rounds of their drafts. Key to building your team and depth.

Smartest move they made was Stafford...Little bit of a horseshoe up their bung with Nacua.

Dont blame him one bit...Rams are loaded for a run.

Only so much time you can spend at the pool or the beach.

All the Rams have to do now is pray Stafford stays healthy. He's been a man of steel but is 38 y/o this year!

Truth. The more time you spend at both, the more you want to spend time at both. Not many things I love more than the beach and pool time. Its so relaxing and puts you in a great mood. Fold in some adult beverages and a gummy or two, and the shit is N-I-C-E.

That sounds really good...But I prefer to hook up the camper to my truck with my fishing gear and head to the rockies next to a lake for a long weekend. Very few people and no noise. :)

Exactly. I tend to move away from the crowds as well.

I can’t sit around and do nothing.  I need something to do.  Laying on the beach or sitting and looking at nature is good for about 20 minutes.  After that, I’m getting up and going for a walk or if I’m locking down a spot for everyone else, I’ll just end up staring at my phone.  My brain can be empty if my feet are moving.

Parsons is a field tilter no doubt...

Seems like they are being prudent about getting him out there.
