Schefty: 'WR Jauan Jennings visiting the Vikings today and tomorrow'
Not bad at all, would like to see him in purple. Per Schefty. Always the plan to add a vet to the WR group. Jefferson, Addison, Felton and Jennings probably for this season. Thumbs up, he'd be perfect WR3. Big at 6'3"+. But at what cost?

Not sure who to credit, but does kwesi get this deal done at that price? Maybe he does, he got us a couple pretty good OLBs a few years ago on good deals, but markets change by the minute it seems.i dont know that we get this value with him though, he always seemed to want to outsmart the system or habe to overspend
I like this move, I think its a good value signing.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Agreed. We won't ever know, but what we do know is that the new Vikings, under Brez, allowed Jennings to test the waters and see if he could make what he was demanding elsewhere. Brez played the game and got the player at a reasonable price and incentives to allow him to fight for it.
So we needed ap bigger WR that get the tough catches, is likely the best pass blocking WR and has been pretty dang predictive and we got him for an $8 million dollar base $13 million with incentives. That’s a better contract than Nailor and he is a better player, absolutely crazy what they just pulled off.

He might agree to a one year 'show me' deal....Mr. 3rd Down and a hell of a downfield blocker in the run game.
So now he gets to show us. 👍

I don't see him accepting WR3 money or targets. It never made sense to me.
Until it does make sense. That's the NFL. I give Jauan credit in not waiting months down the road or for an injury....get into a place, learn the system and play your best ball.
The table is set for this guy, he just needs to eat....

The Vikings only have the salary cap space to sign Jennings because Greenard's contract is no longer on their books.
It doesn't exactly work this way, but if you think of the trade as the Vikings sending out Greenard and a seventh-round pick for Jennings and two third-rounders, it makes quite a bit more sense. A No. 1 edge rusher is more valuable than a No. 3 receiver, but the Vikings also added some draft capital and made a move that fits their roster construction. Trading Greenard frees up a full-time role for Dallas Turner, and signing Jennings addresses a clear need.
Plus, the 2025 Vikings were 28th in EPA per play on offense and 3rd on defense, so balancing the roster by swapping a defensive star for a very good offensive player makes sense on paper.
Signing Jennings, who turns 29 this summer, instantly addresses one of the Vikings' most glaring post-draft needs. He not only will replace Jalen Nailor, he projects as a clear upgrade and perhaps the best No. 3 receiver in the NFL.
The other reason Jennings is a great fit for the Vikings is that he's more than just a pass-catcher. He's plenty willing to get physical and do the dirty work as a run blocker, which helped him get on the field as a young player in Kyle Shanahan's offense. His toughness and intelligence as a blocker will be important for the Vikings as they look to build an efficient run game in 2026.

Very few players leave after an extended visit like this without signing and then end up signing. There appears to be a number of other teams interested. Wonder if they used this visit as a starting point for negotiating with other teams. I think the Vikes should be looking at other options, I would not be counting on him as a possibility.
Its rare but it happens....and did here. They didn't invite him to Minneapolis if they weren't serious. And Rosenhaus is a big fan of the Vikings organization, so I'm sure his agent gently led him to this. He's the big bodied WR the offense needs situationally.

Can't imagine why. Half that and we'll talk.
Maybe the Vikings can sell him but I'm not seeing it. I'm guessing Jennings not only wants big money, but a multi-year deal, and that just doesn't seem likely with the Vikings paying both Jefferson and Addison big money next year. Vikings can maybe try to sell him on the 1-year prove-it deal in a high-powered offense that he can take to the market next year. But even that doesn't fly much. At best, he'll put up WR3 numbers, Nailor numbers. And Nailor got about half of what Jennings is asking.
If we can get him to agree to a 1-year deal for about $8-10M, he would add a lot to the offense. Only 28, big guy, 6-3, 215, good blocker, good red zone target.
What he said. Not sure Jennings is quite the player Vikings Twitter thinks he is, but to get him for the money we're paying Josh Oliver is a no brainer. Really looking forward to those outside runs and keepers with Bredeson, Oliver and Jennings out front.

He was affectively the default #1, #2 option in San Fran, so yes stats will go down here in Minnesota. However, He fills a massive need. Jennings and Bredeson are going to massively help out the run game. It also fits more of the offensive scheme that McCarthy does well in, so I am not so sure that Kyler will be the defacto QB. If this is a case an intermediate route runner like Jennings could be quite the safety valve and comfort blanket for a player like Jennings. Also remember Jennings will no longer be getting the best corner covering him either and there will likely be double coverage on JJ still.

On paper, the Vikings look like they've assembled a powerhouse. One of the things I like about Jennings is how he works back to the QB. There should be a lot of 2nd and 3rd window opportunities with a QB as elusive as Murray.
I want McCarthy to explode this offseason. But more so for what it means for 2027. I don't think there's much chance he wins the competition, if we can even call it that.

You watch the highlight reel that the Vikings put up on youtube for Jennings and most of his catches were on plays that people have been criticizing KOC for not having in his offense.
A lot of the success we have or don’t have is going to depend on KOC reshaping his scheme to fit the players he has.
I interviewed new #Vikings WR Jauan Jennings he said;
