Schefty: 'WR Jauan Jennings visiting the Vikings today and tomorrow'
Not bad at all, would like to see him in purple. Per Schefty. Always the plan to add a vet to the WR group. Jefferson, Addison, Felton and Jennings probably for this season. Thumbs up, he'd be perfect WR3. Big at 6'3"+. But at what cost?
If you’re in 12, you can shift seamlessly to 13 with Jennings.

Between signing an elite blocking WR, spending a 5th on a FB, adding in Frank Smith, we might be able to pound the rock in the Red Zone. Seems like we haven’t been stellar in the Red Zone since the days of the Foreman Flyover.

After listening to that, really what's to make you believe the running game is going to be the primary factor. Adding Jennings to the receiving group in the passing game is going to pull secondaries farther from the line of scrimmage.

for a lotta reasons this was an outstanding move and addition.
The Vikings are gonna play in a way they haven't since koc became HC, they're gonna push people around.
I'm digging this...

Me too! They have gotten bigger and I think they could have a much better O-line providing they are healthy.

On paper, the Vikings look like they've assembled a powerhouse. One of the things I like about Jennings is how he works back to the QB. There should be a lot of 2nd and 3rd window opportunities with a QB as elusive as Murray.
I want McCarthy to explode this offseason. But more so for what it means for 2027. I don't think there's much chance he wins the competition, if we can even call it that.
ONly problem with that is McCarthy doesn't make it to a third option in his reads and I am skeptical at times he makes it to a second. McCarthy in my mind is just a camp body for Murray to compete against at this point. Guy is a career journeyman QB at best. And I doubt he has the mental makeup for that either. The kid is weird and not that good.

I too question JJ's mental makeup and whether or not he can ever be a franchise QB. But the kid just turned 23. We've seen QBs like Mayfield, Darnold, Brees and Josh Allen turn things around given some time, experience and maturity. I don't think it's out of the question for JJ to follow a similar path. Vikings are going to have a big decision to make next spring.

I guess you wanted to put a stamp on your post, so you did it twice. 🤣
Weird, eh? It sure seems like the Vikings teammate enjoy hanging out with him and say he's good for the locker room. I guess they are all weird then. I'd take a bunch of weirdos, if that meant winning Championships. He's been a winner everywhere he's gone. Does the scorecard say stats matter or victories matter more? We've had some of the flashiest teams on offense and defense and that didn't get us any Championships yet.
As others have said, I too am excited about beefing up the trenches and adding a bigger-bodied WR who can block in space. He should be a great 3rd WR and push Addison to be better as well, but even more important, a reliable third/fourth option for the QB all over the field.
