Watched the 2nd half

Cousins delivered but Jayron Kearse won us the game. There were several throw at and tackles made by that guy. Credit where credit is due.

it's like a completely different game that 2nd half. Our defense gave us a few reminders of the 1st half on that final drive, but still. It was like 2 different games.

Waynes had two great plays too ... holding containment and stopping a td.

JK had big plays for us - no doubt. I just see what KC did as exceptional. He carved up the NFL's 4th ranked passing D which was only giving up 202.1 yards a game, and only 7 passing TD's all year which was 2nd best in the league - as in 2nd fewest. After halftime, KC was 18-of-23 passing for 261 yards, three touchdowns and a 153.5 rating.

AND, he did most of it in the 2nd half, when Denver's great statistical defense should have been able to tee our passing game up. It's not as if we had them off-balance and struggling for answers. We were forced to be one dimensional - exactly where a great defense wants you - and we overcame.

Flash-back to Rudolph vs Cook last week...

Nice to have these discussions after wins. I'd have been PO'ed stewing over a loss to Denver for two weeks - and a real eeyore going into the Seattle game.

Well...you can give Kearse all the credit you want. He played a great game in relief. I think he was making a statement because he won't be here next year. But, no, Cousins won us the game.

Guy walks out of the tunnel after the half down 20 against the 4th best pass defense in the NFL...and slices them up on his way to 4 straight touchdown drives. 18 of 23, 261 yards and a rating of 153.5.

With the right QB, OC and playmakers the Hurry Up is hard to stop. NE has won multiple Superbowls because of it. Buffalo made four straight because of it.

But Kearse wasn't good the 1st half any more than the rest of the Defense was. He was the victim of several completions to TEs early on and in on at least one of those completions that a Bronco somehow made with 2 Vik8ngs draped all over them.

That's getting to be an alarming thing. Dudes are catching passes with Vikings all over them. The Secondary needs to start doing a better job of seeing the ball and knocking it down instead of having their backs turned and trying to throw their arms up at the last second.

Rhodes aside, the Secondary is in position to make a lot more plays than they have due to terrible ball skills. That's on the Coaches, IMO.

But back to KC. You don't want to stay in the hurry up all the time but it would sure be nice if Stefanski would sprinkle it in say, before the last drive of the 1st half! He's taking too long to go to it.

That’s the frustrating thing - they are in position.

I would go with he hurry up ... with DC running, and the screen passes, and play action - it would be hard to stop.

Its an important point to make regarding them making plays.  Our coverage had been pretty good bit i agree ball skills are key. Zim sacked up and let them cover mano a mano at crucial  points and we made the plays.  gives us alot of confidence but we cannot afford to get nearly taken out of a game like that.  Cousins delivered massively as did the oline cause KC is a staute
