Viking fans give team standing ovation at halftime
#1
Up 21-0, Viking's fans showed their appreciation by giving the team a standing ovation as they headed into the locker room for halftime. Anyone know of any video of this anywhere?

I was there...I guess I don't recall that being a special moment to be honest.

I love a good ass whooping and that's what we did to Atlanta. It was a game that as a fan I could relax at really from the first quarter on lol! Sometimes you leave these games emotionally drained, yesterday wasn't one of em.

Not complaining mind you, great way to start the season.

Was just looking at the box score. Must've been one too many beers, but I don't remember being up 28-0 at one point. Wow.

Just for the hell of it this afternoon I skimmed through a Falcons forum game thread.  Other than the usual game action comments there were quite a few making positive note of the crowd.  A couple of specifics were how the "skol chant and horn are pretty cool," and that the stands appeared to be pretty full for the opening kickoff and how great that would be.  I'm assuming that means Atlanta fans are typically tardy in getting to their seats...??

Kudos to the Vikings doing it right.  They opened the new stadium with a new tradition (skol chant) and have really worked to make it a great experience for fans.
But doesn't Atlanta have a newer stadium...  Our ownership must be doing something right.

Atlanta has a brand new stadium, Mercedes Benz. But fans in Atlanta are notoriously bad and arrive late and rarely sell out.

New tradition in Atlanta could be over eating concessions, vomiting at halftime, and filling up again...

yeah that was my point.  Our stadium came with a great new tradition.  Maybe the best in the NFL right now.  Very iconic.
