Fantasy Football: Which Second Half Are You Buying?

Drew Brees fading or Derrick Henry dominating?

Neither. But I won't be drafting either of them either.

I think both are going too high for me. I doubt Brees is done, but every season it seems like you can get QBs cheaper than the year before. I'm in a 12-team auction and even if every other team takes two QBs, which they won't, here are the QBs left for me at 23 and beyond: Jimmy G, Carr, Stafford and Dalton. I'd rather have a couple of these guys for $1 each than what I'd have to spend on Brees.

I'll let someone else take Henry as well. Those two games were huge, but it's not like he came off the bench and did that. He was playing all year. And did nothing. Vrabel said he wants to "ride" Henry this year. But how do you ride him if, like most of last year, he runs for 2, 3 yards a carry? Could happen. I might take him if he gets cheap. Just don't think he will...

Players I like at their ADPs this year:
Dak Prescott
Jameis Winston
Dalvin Cook
Aaron Jones
Chris Godwin
Dante Pettis
Geronimo Allison
Jordan Reed
Will Dissly

I did a 12 team auction once. The Spock chess of fantasy football. Worked my ass off to come in fourth, in the money.

I'm trying to gauge general feeling on these guys who held polar opposite extremes the last half. Brees in particular. Was the last half an aberration, or Father Time catching up.

Kyler Murray...over or under 30 combined passing and running TDs?

Under. But Murray in that Kingsbury offense? Man, they might run 100 plays a game. I think David Johnson is going to have a huge year as a result of that. They have a pretty easy schedule too. I would love to have Murray as my QB2, but he's the kind of player that tends to get real expensive in my league.

18 passing and 12 running seems within reach...air raid offense and a poor Cardinals D...man...if I squint hard enough...

At the risk of winding up on Old Takes Exposed... AVOID Brees in fantasy!
I had Brees 2 years ago when he had a hyper-efficient season leading a very good Saints offense... and he was terrible for fantasy. Scored between 12-18 pts (4 pts/passing td) weekly. Last year without Ingram he was getting lots of touchdowns but once Ingram came back and teams slowed them down he was almost un-startable for fantasy once again.
I realize Ingram is gone now but I don't see him significantly outperforming his ADP. Wentz, Wilson, Dak are all guys I'd rather have. JMO, good luck!

Anyone thinking that Arians is going to get a big year out of Mr Crab legs?

Some auction values from my oldest's league:

He got AB 35.
Diggs went for 34 shortly afterwards.
Brandon Cooks went for 31

I'd say he got a steal.

David Johnson went for 73
He got Duke Johnson for 18 which looks like value

He got Dede Westbrook for 14...it's garbage time and he wasn't willing to go over $1 for anyone left...
