I see why Teddy didn't want to go to Miami

Interesting differences in spending philosophies for sure...
Not surprised we're as low as we are on the OL. There's just no little talent there to have to pay for right now.

I assume that our OL spending will go up, since (currently) we don't even have a starting 5.
I'm also going to guess that- when this graphic comes up a year from now- there's going to be a number of teams who are spending more on their QB position than we are. In 2 years (when Cousins' contract is up) he'll probably be the 10th-15th highest paid QB.

I think some of those rankings have to do with coaching as well. NE is 28th and Tom Brady never gets touched and they continue to win super bowls.

Well, we can be proud of that sliver of black. And we seem to have the kind of balance that most teams strive for, with most of the money going to the most important positions: QB, DL and DB. Very similar balance to the Patriots, with one obvious difference.
The LB segment seems small considering Barr and Kendricks money, but I suppose most of the bigger LB outlays are 34 teams. With the Vikings likely drafting 2 or 3 offensive linemen on the 1st two days, and/or trading for 1 or 2 during or not long after, there will be a serious growin' of the green.

Low dead money for us. Way to go Brez.
Thought we would be higher on the DB spending. And our QB spending is already down to 3. |
