Hmmm...What if Murray were to drop near or at 18? Or 2nd day??

Joining SKOR North Live on Thursday, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero said he did not hear much support for Murray as a first-round pick at the Senior Bowl because of the lack of certainty surrounding his future. For teams in need of a quarterback, he will be the most intriguing players at the Combine, which comes up at the end of this month. For the Minnesota Vikings, he might be worth watching in the case that he does slide into Day 2.

I am not a draft guru at all, but from the little I've read on the guy he has very mixed reviews. And he legitimately could go to baseball. But some swear he's going to be the real deal in the NFL. No way can Minnesota take the luxury of grabbing this guy with their 1st pick.

of course he is going to say that prior to the draft.  would you waste a draft pick on a kid that says if he doesnt go top 15 he is going to go play baseball?

Is this supposed to be "If I ran the team" fantasy, or actual "Maybe the Vikings will consider this" speculation? Because if it's the latter, I can't imagine any scenario in which Rick Spielman introduces the idea that, "Hey maybe Cousins isn't going to work out, sorry about that", which would be inherent in picking a QB in the first 2 rounds. The biggest job of an NFL GM is picking a winning QB, but Spielman is 0-2-1 (Ponder and Bradford both fails, Bridgewater is a wash), and that's ignoring McNabb and Cassel.

if he falls to us it will be a win as we will have great trade down flexibility.  You cant take him past the first dont think he would sign
