What's the angst for? Gruden was hired to gut the thing and start from scratch. He wants to rebuild via the draft and is calling the shots.

So instead of getting an experienced GM to play second fiddle, and really, what GM would want that, he adds a very good talent evaluator...with a tin of picks coming up the next two years.  Makes sense to me.
