It won't kill anybody.  Their ailments may kill them, but a health care bill wont.

I don't think the health care bill as we're seeing it now is going to see light of day. Too many people want to get re-elected

I agree,  I know that I wouldnt vote for any senator that went along with this bill just for the sake of saying they replace the ACA,  changes need to be made, but the changes need to improve the situation,  not just defer or transfer the pain.

as much as I hate to say it,  especially after the fiasco the my aunt and uncle went through the last couple years with the VA,  I think the only solution now is some sort of socialized medicine,  but it cant be even close to Cadillac coverage,  it will have to be very narrow in scope, and there has to be penalties for those in high risk lifestyle choice catergories that wont be subsidized by the tax payer. If people want better coverage it will be up to them to go out of pocket for the better coverage.

Also,  we have to take care of our kids, elderly, and military better.  2 cant help themselves,  and the latter has certainly earned the best we can give them.  IMO we make the US govt employees/elected officials use the same health care providers/facilities that we have for our military and see if the level of care doesnt improve then.

Well, there's a few things I might not agree with you on Jimmy, but some sort of socialized medicine I think is inevitable. And amen to kids, elderly and military...I saw the home my Veteran FIL was eligible for  his last 8 days on this earth. Lets just say I wouldn't want to have been there and my MIL (who's in assisted private living now) is in a hell of a lot better digs (thank goodness).

It's not right...

Yep...who knew it would be so hard to overturn a massive entitlement with money the government didn't and doesn't have....thank God for that spot on CBO scoring on Obamacare....  How long has government not acted on fixing Social Security?

Didn't the Obama administration have like 4 years to fuck it up,  I mean, set it up with one of Michael's college friends that made it even worse for millions of dollars??  I trust that the Trump administration will fix it so that people will still be covered AND money that Obama was sending to other countries doesn't leave America

likely harder than it would have been to just come up  with a good plan in the first place, but now those dominos have fallen and that will make the social costs and consequences to fix the system even more costly... of course they could just shove it down our throats before anybody has time to read it under the guise of "you have to pass it to find out whats in it"... because that was such a great approach.
