447 Pass Attempts
#1
Cousins now has 447 pass attempts in 11 games.  I thought the 447 pass attempts seemed familiar.  That's the number of pass attempts that Bridgewater had in all of 2015.  I thought that was interesting, so here are the numbers between the two.

Cousins - 2018
318/447 PA - 71.1% - 3,289 Yds - 22 TDs - 7 INTs - 6 FumbL - 101.9 Passer Rating - 65.1 QBR
7.4 YPA - 10.3 YPC - 36 Pass Plays 20+ - 3 Pass Plays 40+ - 22.2 Offense PPG
Bridgewater - 2015
292/447 PA - 65.3% - 3,231 Yds - 14 TDs - 9 INTs - 3 FumbL - 88.7 Passer Rating - 57.7 QBR
7.2 YPA - 11.1 YPC - 41 Pass Plays 20+ - 6 Pass Plays 40+ - 20.2 Offense PPG
For Offense PPG, I took the total points scored and subtracted the non-offense TDs (3 in 2018 and 6 in 2015, I assumed the EP was made).
2018: 265 total points - 21 non-offense points = 244 Offense points / 11 Games = 22.2 PPG.
2015: 365 TP - 42 N-O points = 323 / 16 Games 20.2 PPG.

Ah, fun with stats...

2015: TB 14 TD's for the season (4 vs the Bears)
2018: KC 22 TD's in 11 games

447 attempts this early in the season shows how horse-shit the play calling and or running game is

If the point of this is to say Bridgewater is comparable to Cousins, I aint buying it. Teddy was game managing and was still raw and developing.

Oh, stop. Give me a break. Ridiculousness. Just say you don't like Cousins and be done with it, I'd respect that a lot more.

How many TD's in 15 came from AP vs passing?

I'm not sure if it's more how little the Vikings passed in 2015 or how much the Vikings pass in 2018.  What I found interesting was that with 5 games to go, it's already tied and tied at the same number.

2015 Vikings had 18 rushing TDs, 14 passing TDs, 2 kickoff return TDs, 1 punt return TD, 2 INT return TDs, 1 Fumble return TD, 33 ExP, 34 FGs and 1 2-point conversion.  You would have to lookup Peterson if you want his TDs.

No real motive for posting other than that it was the same number, but it is interesting you think of Bridgewater as a game manager (more big plays and higher YPC than Cousins).  Don't really care though.

I left the Packer game Sunday night glad for the win and still shaking my head on how few touches Dalvin had...I got a real problem with how little JDF is running the ball.

Kirk right now also has the same number of touchdowns, interceptions and is 259 yards behind what Case had for the season (~14.5 games) last year, with a better completion percentage.  I guess the point is that the production is there but different seasons offer different results with a lot of other factors beyond the QB, not the least of which is schedule and competition.

You can't compare the two at all because they were two TOTALLY different offenses. Teddy was on a trajectory to the moon, but still, he was a 2nd year QB. In Cousins 2nd year he had a 58 rating, a 52% completion percentage and he was upside down in his TD/INT ratio. I loved Teddy's upside and wish we could've found a way to keep him. I fear that he's going to explode in New Orleans. I liked Keenum, too. But Cousins was the right decision based on the facts we had at the time and everything we've seen to date (Kirk, Brad, Teddy and Case). There really should be no doubt about that.

WTF?  I just posted numbers, no analysis, and the numbers are generally more favorable for Cousins.

Some of you are looking way too much into this.  I do BYOB on PT, I see the stats every week (need to because of the game).  I also have a pretty good memory, so I saw that the attempts were pretty close and happened to be exact.
