Lions waived RB Ameer Abdullah.It's been a long time coming for Abdullah, who surprisingly kept his roster spot behind Kerryon Johnson, LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick coming out of training camp. The No. 54 overall pick of the 2015 draft had been active just three times this season, touching the ball three times on offense. Abdullah has had a difficult time staying healthy as a pro and averaged just 3.82 yards per carry on 327 career totes. 2018 is his age-25 season. There is a chance Abdullah gets claimed off waivers. I think we are all,thinkingmthe same thing. Thomas must be more injured than we thought. And doing this now gives Abdullah a few more days to study the playbook.

Read on another board that Roc Thomas was waived. Was he the one getting his butt chewed in the NO game? or the game before?

Vikings waived RB Roc Thomas.
Thomas made the team as an UDFA this year after a big preseason that saw him total 195 yards and two scores on 24 touches. He had rushed eight times for 30 yards in real games. Thomas was cut in favor of Ameer Abdullah.
