Met him at my gym in CA.

i was wearing one of my many Vikings shirts....he came up and said, "so you're a Vikings fan huh...."yeah...until the day I die"

"what's your name?"
"Ned"
"Hi Ned, Bill Brown....I used to play....."

Before he could finish...."Oh my God, no way!!"  "I've gotta shake your hand"
(this was before cell phones / cameras and such)

Talked to him for a while...great guy.

He says, "I've gotta get going, but it was nice chatting....here"....and he tosses me a Keith Millard football camp T-Shirt.

I thanked him, and I wore that thing until it was thread-bare.

I suppose @ 80 it should be too shocking, but I was surprised. Was not aware he wasn't well if that was the case.
