Who is holding him up?  I see him quoted about shit  but not like he is being pitched as a role model or anything.

Seems about right to me. Instead of Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar, they get Kanye West. Instead of Bono and Bruce Springsteen, they get Kid Rock and Ted Nugent. Instead of George Clooney and Tom Hanks, they trot out Chachi and Roseanne Barr. I'm sensing a pattern. 

On a related note, I wonder if MAGA-murica is all out buying Kanye records on their way to the Taylor Swift record burning parties.

The media seems to make a big deal about "stars" and hold up their opinions as weighing more than others. 

I think most conservatives consider it a right for them to hold their own opinion and they just happen to be someone the media throngs around

I'm a little late to this, as I just watched the press conference, but what is the big deal?  I was expecting there to be something more dramatic given all the people talking about it.

I was expecting him to be barely coherent and off his rocker given his mental health issues, but he communicated his points well, bridged the left and right.  I thought Trump basically just let him speak and generally was respectful which I hope he would be towards his guest.

Is it just that Kanye has a more red pill take than the mainstream is used to?  What am I missing here?

Oh, I dunno. Maybe the fact that he said the 13th Amendment should be abolished (prior to coming to the White House). 

What's happening to America? How did you NOT find his sit down with Trump hilarious?! Holy shit, he's rambling about how putting a fucking MAGA hat on makes him feel like Superman. We have a reality star meeting with a mentally ill rapper in the OVAL OFFICE and people are going, "Well, I mean, hate me for being a conservative but I think this is totally normal." Holy SHIT!
