Thoughts on Sloter?
#1
I liked what I saw, albeit a small sample size...

Me, too.  When I first saw him... I thought he was a back-up punter.  The guy is rail-thin!  But then I saw him sling it.  Based ONLY on what I saw last night, I'd be comfortable letting Sieman go and making Sloter our #2.

I thought Sloter looked  a lot better than Siemian. He had some off target passes out there, the interception being 1 of a few. He was throwing behind guys. He looked a little rattled quite honestly. Maybe going back to Denver made him that way.
Conversely, I thought Sloter looked a lot more composed. He seemed to be on a mission to show the Broncos brass that they made a mistake letting him go.

Sloter looks like he picked up right where he left off last preseason...  Dominating third stringers.

From what I've seen, I think he has better arm talent than Trevor.  Stronger arm and better accuracy.  Siemian had too many balls that were off target or behind his receiver.

I like his upside, but I'd like to see him tear it up against some better competition.  I wonder if the Vikings will put him in ahead of Siemian at all this preseason?

Bercich made a couple observations on things Sloter was identifying at the line. I think there's definitely more upside. I wish the team would put Sloter ahead of Siemian, quite frankly. I wasn't very impressed with ol' Trevor.

I'm with others, want to see what he can do vs higher level competition.

Maybe he gets in the game earlier next week?

As of August, I would be very nervous putting him ahead of Simian this year. You just can't coach experience.

I thought Sloter looked better than Siemian.  I have
never really been excited about the Siemian signing and will not be
surprised if Sloter beats him out.

I thought the same thing about Case last off-season...  solid veteran back up, but didn't make any notable plays in pre-season.

It's hard to say how Siemian would look with Diggs, Thielen, Rudy, and Cook.  Hopefully we don't have to find out...

So far in the NFL (granted, all preseason games), Kyle Sloter is 40-of-54 for 482 yards, 5 TDs and 0 INTs.
